Purpose: The purpose is to provide an updated surgical atlas for this field as it continues to expand, and highlights of newer techniques from different surgeons.
Audience: The audience includes otolaryngology residents, neurotologists, and neurotology fellows, as well as neurosurgeons who collaborate with neurotologists in a team-based approach to manage patients with these tumors.
Features: This book is well organized with a clear glossary and index. The medical illustrations are superb and the intraoperative photos are clear. The case-based approach helps surgeons better understand the procedure from that perspective and readers realize that each case is individual.
Assessment: This is a great addition. The unique perspectives of the actual cases make the book different and a worthy contribution to the otolaryngology literature.
