Starlight gives you some deep and far reaching concepts to think about in this exciting and very hope-inspiring novel, Auraman The Beginning. This is a wonderful story with many fantastic, positive ideas. Amazing ideas about possible advancements in psychic phenomena and the increased power of people, as well as a firm belief in a higher power, fuel the actions of the main characters and provide the background for an amazing plot. Auraman The Beginning is truly an interesting story that sweeps you along, but also gives you plenty to think about well after turning the last page.

brilliantly crafted and written, “Auraman the Beginning” by author B.E. Starlight is the first book I’ve read by this author but he is certainly an author I will be keeping an eye on in the future. This world he creates here is impressively conceived, and I was pleased with the level of character development throughout – and there are lots of them! But so frequently in books they are the same from beginning to end… definitely not here!! The plots are complex and intelligent, yet quirky enough to keep you hooked. There are several big reveals that continue to shift the dynamic of the storyline in unexpected ways, something that even a jaded reader like myself can fully appreciate and still be shocked by. This is great because nothing I hate more than predictable clichés which are usually pretty rampant in this genre, especially when dealing with any type of ‘special’ or ‘super’ human. I would also like to commend the level of professionalism in this novel, from the cool cover, to the formatting, to the editing and the overall execution– all top notch. Only a few places where I thought it was unnecessarily wordy and overwritten, and it did take some time for the ‘antagonists/bad guy’ to show themselves, so in a way it felt a little too ‘safe’ for too long in the beginning. But once it got going it was intense!! Looking forward to more great stories from B.E. Starlight and will be recommending to my friends. Recommend for mature readers of paranormal// fantasy // Sci-fi and action

4.5 stars I honestly had no idea what to expect when reading this as I went into it pretty blind --only read a brief blurb—and I was in no way prepared for how totally addicting this novel would be, and the sheer magnitude of this incredibly visualized world, the intriguing characters (especially Aura’el and Dr. Bearlight), the multi plots that break the mold and far surpass anything I remotely expected … I was really impressed with just how ‘deep the rabbit hole’ went here with this book – it is an epic work of intelligent and fantastical fiction, yes, but it has so many elements of real life and the world/culture imbedded throughout, things (no spoilers)… it’s just so interesting to read the speculative fiction that examines different contingencies and realities and the possibilities that are beyond our immediate vision. The way B.E. Starlight writes is captivating from the beginning and you just want to keep reading and reading and not stop. It is both descriptive and has great world building (important for a fantasy/sci-fi) but also is interesting and has a hint of mystery/suspense throughout so that you aren’t bored (you can tell there’s more to the story than we know). I was reading as fast as I could (especially toward the end), and even though it’s a pretty long book, I was disappointed when it was over. I wanted more!! But the ending is amazing as is the rest of the book and totally throws you for a twist. I’m hoping that there is more to come as this could be an amazing series and I would love to read the next one! Recommend for fans of action fantasy/scifi and even has a philosophical/intellectual element.

this book was great… lots of fun to read and very descriptive! I could picture everyone and everything perfect, like I was watching a movie. Creatively complex, yet simple…, well written and nicely edited, “Auraman- The Beginning” by B.E. Starlight is a fun book for fans of alternative fiction, paranormal & fantasy, action, drama and (light) romance, etc. This novel holds its own with the world building and plot structure, and an interesting cast characters and plenty of intrigue to go around. Half the fun in reading this book is trying to figure out exactly what is going on… what it all means. But there were some times where I felt it could have used some paring down, as while technically the editing was nearly flawless, there were a few places where there was needless information, scenes, or too much telling narrative (instead of showing us through conversations and action) or chit chat. However, I feel B.E. Starlight did a terrific job of bringing in a unique voice and making the story wholly his own, and giving it a fresh feel. I certainly didn’t feel like I’ve read this a million times before, even if it has a somewhat familiar literary theme… it is still brilliantly complex with more to it on a deep ‘human’ level than I initially expected. While it takes it’s time to really develop the tension I like for an engrossing story, it does get there and the ending will make you wish there was more! Interesting theories, profound and insightful observations on our world and society and human nature that gives it an intellectual depth I appreciate, and a fun cast of characters to take you along for this surreal, action-packed and at times even emotional journey. I really hope that this is only just “The Beginning”! Recommend.

I really enjoyed “Auraman: The Beginning” by author B. E. Starlight, even though fantasy & sci-fi isn’t usually one of my more preferred genres (don’t dislike it, just don’t generally gravitate). But I liked the sample and the style of Mr. Starlight’s writing…. This felt more like a unique character-drama (under very strange, fantastical circumstances) to me than anything, so I gave it a shot. I was really impressed! I really liked the world and characters he created here and the roles with the different characters and their function in society/the world. It is SO much more than just ‘good vs evil’/ “right vs wrong’ cliché super-hero tale, but looking at humans and world and its mechanisms in a whole new way that I haven’t experienced before – feel very spiritual and profound in a way, and the idea of ‘aura’ isn’t one I’ve read much about before… but the way the book is written it makes sense… very easy to grasp the complex (and important!) ideas that Starlight puts forth, and the result is an impressively crafted story that in unpredictable and engaging. Has sort of a ‘surreal’ vibe that I really liked, and the narrative prose was really strong. The pace is great, and for the most part the editing was good. Lots of characters – some whom we get to understand better than others, but I thought that Mr. Starlight did a great job with them and making them more ‘creative’ than just the standard figures we normally see (loved Alfonso even though he is bad). One thing I really liked was how frequently I was surprised at some things that happened – this isn’t some generic, predictable tale but something new and visionary (pun intended). Emotionally engaging and with lots of intelligent action, some admittedly over my head. But an entertaining ride that also makes you think outside the box. Hope to read more from Starlight soon! Recommend for fans of paranormal sci/fi

I read a lot of paranormal/ sciFi/fantasy books, so this is a genre I’m familiar with. I’d never read anything from B.E. Starlight before, but the premise seemed really interesting. I was very intrigued with the opening pages and how B.E. Starlight set the tone right off the bad, and I knew right away this book would be different from the rest. I’m always on the lookout for fresh new talent, so I was curious to see how he would deliver in this one “Auraman: The Beginning”. I was totally blown away with how awesomely weird and innovative it was, and that is not an easy thing to do! Mr. Starlight is unarguably a very talented writer, but more than that he genuinely impressed me with the thorough world-building of this new type of superhero in Auraman/Aura’el …. and the creativeness and depth on several levels with all the characters (Aura’el, Annette, even Alfonso) and their interactions. All too often I read works that feel clearly derivative of other books, and although I appreciate literary influences (as is mildly felt here as well as this IS a ‘Superhero” tale after all), Starlight was still able to cast this story in a new ‘light’ to give it a very unique feel – a blend of science, supernatural/paranormal, action, relationships, philosophy, social and cultural commentary…etc, and make it unlike anything I’ve read. I liked how descriptive and intense it all was, and for such a long book I finished it in less than three nights. The ending is bittersweet but very fitting… I hope it leaves the door open for more because I’d love to read it! I recommend it for fans of superhero/action/fantasy/sci-fi.

4.5 stars usually I tend to lean towards more literary, romance, or character-driven contemporary novels, but I was in the mood for something a little different. So even though sci/fi & fantasy isn’t really my thing, I decided to give “Auraman: The Beginning” a shot. Well, I can definitely say that a lot of people would love this book! First off the characters are awesome, and I liked the fact that Starlight took an idea/concept that we have all read about before and put a totally new twist on it… almost profound, yet surreal and spiritually philosophical (if that makes sense). There are a lot of characters, some more fleshed out than others, but all are realistic enough and don’t seem like cardboard cutouts. I especially like the intelligent scientific angle that B.E. employs that gives this story an edge over many I’ve read lately. A great blend of modern societal issues mixed with an almost “Matrix” feel, where there are other unseen forces at work controlling it all… but why? And to what end? An ambitious, multi-faceted novel that I enjoyed much more than expected and would recommend to others as well. Hope to read more from him soon.

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! I came across this book on Facebook , and being a sucker for superheroes, went ahead and purchased a copy immediately. It's been a while since I found myself so engrossed in the pages of a book, not being able to put it down for a second. The novel reads like a parapsychologist’s dream come true, and made me wonder if the author himself might be precognitive, tapping into the future, and writing an account of things yet to come. “Auraman the Beginning” is incredibly fluid, and one event follows another as the author carefully weaves a web of startling authenticity and depth I found most refreshing. It is reminiscent of a script since the characters continuously converse and the story line does not focus on scenery depictions as it is on character interaction and the idea of what one might do if they had godly powers. A friend of mine who has read the book, and who is a believer in the Nibiru cataclysm pointed out the usage that the author makes of this belief held by millions, that planet x or Nibiru is destined to collide with earth sometime this century, and bring about the end of humanity; I find it odd therefore, that a critic who reviewed this bookt found this planetary collision idea “far fetched” in a Sci-Fi novel no less, particularly in light of the fact that Benjamin Zuckerman, a UCLA professor of physics and astronomy reported on Sep 24, 2008 that " Two planets in orbit around a mature sun-like star recently suffered a violent collision". Consequently, how did earth escape the foretold Nibiru’s collision you ask My guess is you might just have to pick up a copy and find out :) Can’t wait for the next chapter in this magical and thrilling story.

I can see your aura! This book, Auraman: The Beginning by B.E. Starlight, which I just completed is a science fiction, fantasy joy ride. Auraman is a very imaginative story that embraces the realm of aura and paranormal activity. Which in my opinion is virtually an ocean of unexplored mysteries and a genre that the author creatively explored. I liked the story idea, as it highlighted an area of human existence I think we all ponder. Such as, what features of the human brain have not been discovered and how many abilities lay dormant within us all. The characters and science within the story felt real and believable. My favorite character being, Dr. Bearlight, the mysterious fertility specialist that attracts everyone that meets him. Overall, Auraman: The Beginning kept me entertained and inquisitive. I found the proof and editing work to be thorough and concise. The cover art is visually attractive, and fitting for the story found behind it. Although I found it to be a bit out there for my tastes, it would be an excellent read for lovers of the psychedelic genre.
