About the Author

New York Times and USA Bestselling Author, S. L. Scott, was always interested in the arts. She grew up painting, writing poetry and short stories, and wiling her days away lost in a good book and the movies.

With a degree in Journalism, she continued her love of the written word by reading American authors like Salinger and Fitzgerald. She was intrigued by their flawed characters living in picture perfect worlds, but could still debate that the worlds those characters lived in were actually the flawed ones. This dynamic of leaving the reader invested in the words, inspired Scott to start writing with emotion while interjecting an underlying passion into her own stories.

Living in the capital of Texas with her family, Scott loves traveling and avocados, beaches, and cooking with her kids. She's obsessed with epic romances and loves a good plot twist. She dreams of seeing one of her own books made into a movie one day as well as returning to Europe. Her favorite color is blue, but she likens it more toward the sky than the emotion. Her home is filled with the welcoming symbol of the pineapple and finds surfing a challenge though she likes to think she's a pro.

Scott is represented by Kevan Lyon of Marsal Lyon Literary Agency for both U.S. and foreign rights.

Scott is represented by Flavia Siqueira of Bookcase Literary Agency in Brazil.

I did not like this ending at all!  Dylan was so much better.

I have been Team Austin from the beginning and I still believe he is the one for Jules. I do think it is fantastic that Scott has decided to give her readers a choice, though, and I am very much interested to see how Dylan would be able to steal Jules from Austin in his book, because I think it’s near to impossible and I cannot see it happening! Even though this book is Austin’s “forever after” with Jules, I liked that it didn’t come very easily to them. There was turmoil and heartache with what went down at the end of Jealousy, and rightfully so. I think both Austin and Jules needed time to themselves before they could really be happy and I enjoyed taking each step with them. This has been a great series, with interesting characters and a unique presentation that made it all the more exciting. If you haven’t read any of the books in the From the Inside Out series, I highly recommend them. Start the journey with Jules, learn more about the two men who each have a piece of her heart, and then choose whom you think is most deserving.

Since both Dylan & Austin come out at the same time, I'm reviewing them together.  They're #3 & #4 that finish up the serial, From The Inside Out. It's a brilliant idea! Depending on what team you're on, #TeamDylan or #TeamAustin, you can choose WHICH ending you'd like. However, I suggest you read both. They're both really good.  After Scorned, I was totally Team Austin! Of course in true S.L. style, she had me totally flip sides after Jealousy, so I was firmly team Dylan!! LOL I would have never believed it, but it was true! LOL  I read these two out of order, reading Austin first. While I loved it and it was wonderful, it left me feeling... I don't know, not fully satisfied. Then I read Dylan and THAT was what I was looking for. Confirming that I am indeed team Dylan! Now I'm sure, there are others that feel the opposite but that's the beauty in this! My suggestion is this... Read both LOL BUT save which ever team you're on, for last. That way it'll leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy. :)  Lisa FFC

Max, listen. You don't have to respond but just hear what I have to say. You're a great person. You are. I don't care what anybody else says about you or what they think or do. You're not a sl<_>ut so stop calling yourself one. I'm not agreeing with Kova or Acea on what they said about you at all. My opinion is that I think you should change. You need to. You get all these guys hooked onto you, whether you want to or not, and you pick someone else and it hurts them. You're not stupid, Max, I know that. You're probably thinking that I had some feelings for you and I got jealous. Well I did and was. I said that I let my guard down for only a minute and let you get the better of me. I said that I realized who you were because I realized that you were my friend and didn't have those feelings toward me. I knew this and moved past it, willingly. Whether or not you forgive me for what I said at this point I honestly don't think matters. But just hear me out please. You're a great person. You always have been and always will be. That's the reason why all these people either hate you or they love you. It's because you're a great person, Max. I honestly do wish that you would change though. I do. It's not that you're doing something wrong it's that other people are taking it the wrong way. And you wanted an honest answer? Well, no. I don't hate you, Max. You're a good person and a great friend. ~ Cypher
