Autism in Our Home is a faith based book providing practical wisdom for raising children on the spectrum and keeping a healthy balanced between therapies, IEP’s, and taking care of the rest of your family’s needs. Maritza writing style is conversational and easy to follow. She shares her own life’s experiences with her son Jaiden who was diagnosed with autism at age two. I like how she shares not only the victory moments but also the tough times and meltdowns. I enjoyed Maritza’s insight of following Christ and the importance of keeping your marriage fresh on the journey of autism. I highly recommend her book to parents who desire a faith approach to autism and keeping their own mind and spirit strong.
