Autumn in London is the second part of The Empire State Series, a series of three novellas. The series starts in A Week in New York.
Anna Kirby went to New York to escape heartbreak and have some fun. She wasn't meant to meet someone . . . someone like Ethan. Now, back in London, she's having to get over a man who's three thousand miles away....
Ethan Scott broke every one of his rules during his week with Anna and now he can't seem to go back to life before her. A business trip to London gives him the opportunity to change his rules for good. Will he take it?

About the Author
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

I love the Series
This is the second installment in Anna and Ethan's love story. This books starts with Anna back in London after he week with Ethan. They broke several of the rules they made to each other during that week which made it harder for Anna to keep her thoughts from going back to that week. Using work she distracts herself from thinking about him. Ethan has been doing some thinking himself. He didn't want things to end with Anna. Trying to figure a way to track her down a work thing comes up that sends him to London. During a meeting at work Anna and the fellow co workers are introduced to the American that is going to help with a merger/take over. Raising his eyes Ethan gets his own surprise...Anna. This was a great follow-up on their love story and I couldn't wait to read it. I would recommend this to a reader that loves a great love story.
In Autumn in London, we find Ethan and Anna unhappy, following the end of their week-long fling and both wishing that they had a way of contacting one another. The couple are conveniently reunited by a twist in the plot and the passion between them is quickly reignited. Again it is Ethan who we know more about, as Louise Bay shows him in work mode, as Anna's lover and the different persona he has as a brother and uncle. As a character, he becomes softer, with more humour and we can understand Anna's infatuation with him. At the point Anna and Ethan declare their love for one another, I was a little open-mouthed in disbelief. Yes, we can see the lust between them and even the intense need, but we have had no proof that they actually know each other. Autumn in London is definitely more Erotica than contemporary romance and because this is a couple who declare that their relationship is more than just sex, I felt cheated. In the last of the trilogy, I expect that Ethan and Anna will continue their 'romance' and am interested to see the scenario Louise Bay creates. I received this as a complimentary review copy, but this has not influenced my opinion in any way
More Ethan and Anna! I knew the author would have to bring these two back together, so it wasn’t a surprise to find Ethan on his way to London as the novella opens. I was however, surprised that he was not sure whether he wanted to contact Anna. When A Week in New York ended, he was convinced that if she lived in NY they would have something special. But then, I suppose he was only being realistic, how would the outcome of this trip differ from the last? It turns out Ethan and Anna work for the same company (kismet anyone?). So, Ethan’s decision about whether to contact Anna is basically made for him. Anna doesn’t see it with the same optimism though. We have a few misunderstanding, some funny moments, sweet and romantic encounters, and steamy wild sex! These two are an explosive combination in and out of the bedroom. Ethan is a complete alpha and so very sexy. These two are just made for each other and though I tried to prepare myself, the cliffhanger at the end just killed me! Though I admit, this one left the reader with more hope. I can’t wait to get to that third installment and see how things work out. Now, if only I didn’t have to wait for it to be released!
WOW!! I loved this even better than A Week in New York!! This novella picks up several months after the ending of the last one and Ethan Scott finds himself in London for 3 months on business. Needless to say, he is thinking of Anna. And how they eventually run into each other was quite a shock! I fell further in love with this couple. They are perfect for each other. And they have some hot, funny and sexy scenes!! "Living in the moment. Especially moments like that. Tell your hard-on he's off duty for a couple of hours." She grinned and I grabbed her hand and set off up the path to my sister's front door. "You're cruel." I huffed. "You've got the sexual appetite of a nineteen-year old boy." "And you're the Virgin Mary?" And as their relationship progresses, we realize that they are both unsure of themselves in this type of a relationship for different reasons. But I was very frustrated with Anna as Ethan's time in London begins to wane. I wanted to reach into my kindle and shake her by the shoulders and yell at her! This was another wonderful read in this series and I cannot wait for the final installment!! I was provided a copy of this book for an honest review.
