I have never heard of Ayurveda before and have no idea what to expect when first reading this book. this is more than just a cookbook it definitely goes into the lifestyle of it all. I would recommend it to people wanting to learn about this and try some new recipes too.

What is Ayurveda? Never heard of it. This book will explain it and does a great job introducing the concept with holistic healing, even though some people may believe it is all spiritual. Ayurveda medicine is about bringing total balance in all aspects of your life. The recipes inside are easy and quick. They are supposed to help you regain balance and control over your life. They’re tasty too. This cookbook is more than just that and is worth the time.

This cookbook will five you some background of the Ayurveda lifestyle and how it can benefit you both mentally and physically. Personally I do not forsee myself or many others utilizing this cookbook because it is somewhat difficult to follow and the ingredients could not be readily available.  There are some delicious sounding recipes that I will try, but I am also very good at cooking normally so I do not foresee a lot of issues.

I have used Ayurvedic beauty products for about two years, but strangely, had not thought of how the practices of balancing my DOSHA could be further enhanced by doing that with food, too!  The idea with Ayurvedic teachings is that you balance your energies and you will obtain balance in your health and elsewhere.  This beautifully illustrated book is the perfect introduction into following in Ayurvedic lifestyle as it begins with a very brief history (we're looking at over 5,000 years here - so it has to be brief when you're in a cookbook!) and gives you an outline as to why this would be important to you and how it could help.  Following that is a quick lesson on the energies and finding which may be yours - this can help people determine what is best for them.  I love how this is laid out and is very easy to read.  Beyond that, the recipes are flavorful, easy to follow and has a little something for everyone, so you are certain to discover a dish that will make you smile.

When I first saw this book I had no idea what Ayurveda was.  By the time I got through the first chapter I knew and I was hooked.  I like how the book lays out the diet and I love that I can see and feel the effects of what I am doing.  The recipes are easy to follow tasty and the ingredients are easy to find at your local grocer.  This book is definitely worth the read if you are looking to try new things.

What a great addition to anybody's meal planning, especially if you are looking to add in ancient methods to balance your body and get personalized all natural solutions to your diet needs. Very easy to follow recipes and the results are fantastic!

This was an interesting read. I loved the recipes. This book has some questions for you to answer to find out your Dosha. Once you find that out there are various informative sections that explain to you what your dosha means and what recipes are best for your dosha. I did not care to much for all that extra information. I did get some good recipes out of this though!

This book is quite refreshing and seemingly, a much needed addition to the typical western mindset concerning food  choice. This book can draw from the ancient Ayurvedic practices and especially as it pertains to food.  Take a deeper look at yourself, who you are, the type of body you have and its typical needs. Understand your  Dosha - and what type of energies dominate your typical day and how certain types of foods can bring your body  back into harmony and balance if various stressors pull it too far in one direction. This all stuff just fascinating and  I can relate my self with the situation. Learn the major types of food tastes, and how you can use these as tools to contribute to a more balanced mind,  body and spirit.  A large variety of foods and drinks are given for all types of meals and they all take about 30 minutes depending on your own comfort level with preparing food. The book explains about how to follow the path of natural, whole foods under the guidance of the Ayurvedic  discipline to equanimity and health.

Before reading this book, I had no idea that there could be such a connection between food and your soul. The Easy Ayurveda Cookbook explains and guides you through the important connection of feeding your mind, body and soul. I really enjoyed the easy to follow guides, and vibrant pictures. This cookbook is a commitment read, as it helps you find a  personalized path, based on your answers to quizzes. Once you have it down, its great to follow.  I would recommend this read to anyone wanting to take a deep look into mind, body and soul eating

My family wasn't really a fan of the recipes within this book. The idea behind the Ayurveda diet is based on ancient hindu lifestyle. The idea is to eat a diet based on life balance which can help you in your overall life which includes mind, body and soul. While the ideas is great, it doesn't fit my families lifestyle.

Hum....this is a deep read cookbook. It is a cookbook based on your "dosha" (one of three energies physical, mental, or spiritual traits). This book is about balance and goes on to explain that imbalance is the precursor to disease and the practice of Ayurveda can help you regain control over your health. The book explains that food is medicine and what you eat can serve you or work against you. So you take a quiz to figure out your dosha and what category you fit into. After that, you are offered different recipes to go with your traits. I tried one of the recipes and found that it was a bit difficult. The ingredients are not ones you would find at the grocery store. You would find them in a Whole Foods type store and the nearest Whole Foods is 45 minutes away. I had to search through the recipes to find one that was less complicated and required less ingredients. Once I did make the dish....it was delicious!! I think this is a great book for someone who is looking to improve whole body wellness. It is not a basic recipe cookbook....it is a self help book & cookbook. It's not a bad book by any means....just not a simple quick read cookbook.

This cookbook has delicious recipes that are given to you in ancient Indian medicine.  It combines mind, body, and spirit.  The whole idea of this cookbook  is to determine your body type to seek out the apporpriate foods you are then  able to eat in the book  It is very well written.

I learned so many new things from this book! I will be honest i had absolutely no idea what Ayurveda was but after this book i sure do and it was something i definitely needed to learn and incorporate in my life. I found that it helps you incorporate foods into your diet for the maximum benefit to your mind and body. I knew that eating better helps your overall health but i did not know the tremendous help it could have on your spiritual well being.

This book is a great guide for starting out with Ayurveda which  helps to balance you out spiritually and  physically. You will gain a clear understanding of this practice by reading the book and you will have access to recipes. The recipes in the book are delicious and don’t take a long time to make. You will not be dissapointed with this book.

Well, I really had no clue what ayurveda was.. really just a fancy way of saying holistic. The book though? Repetitive, confusing, and complicated. The only thing that saved this book were the recipes, and to be honest unless you're an experienced cook. half those are going to be too complicated for your everyday cook to make. this is a good book for learning how food can help balance your mind, body and spirit. That's really bout it, if you can't cook the food.

Not only does this cookbook give you incredible recipes, it explains exactly this "diet" will help change your life! This is truly a life style change that effects every aspect of your life . If you're looking to find balance in  today's hectic world, this book is a great start!

This is an awesome cook book, I would love to make any of these recipes If I lived alone. because I love all kinds of food. If my family wasn't picky They would be trying these recipes out with me because I'm always up for something new and healthy and good. I might just try one of these recipes anyways and see what they all think since they are all very picky eaters. I would recommend this book.

This book was just okay for me. I liked the beginning/introduction part more than the actual cookbook/recipes part. The information about Ayurveda was pretty cool and I enjoyed, but the recipes are a bit much if you’re not interested in India foods specifically. I’ve never used many of the ingredients and it’s just not plausible for me to cook in this style.

This is a really neat cookbook, and not at all what I expected. I really like how it talks about balance and life. Once you get an idea of what Ayuveda is then it gets down into the recipes which are different than what i’m used to but I’m still going to be trying them.

I think this book can come across as confusing and a bit much for some people, but I think if you focus on what ayurveda is it makes more sense. Ayurveda is a system built around healing body, mind, and spirit. So while this is a cookbook, the cookbook is aimed towards healing and nourishing yourself through body and spirit with food. The book includes a lot of interesting recipes that sound great, but I don't know if easy is the best way to describe some of them. A lot of the ingredients are not something you'd find at your local grocery store, but I think if you are already knowledgeable in the Ayurvedic lifestyle then this book and it's recipes would be easier to navigate. I think this is a great resource either way as long as you understand what you are trying to achieve by using this cookbook.

This is much more than a cookbook!  It certainly does have tons of amazing recipes, but it also helps you figure out what foods are better for you.  After you figure what what your  Dosha is it will explain in detail why certain things are good for you.

I found this book a little confusing. I also found that the recipes are a little more intricate then some others. If you understand and know the meaning of Ayurveda than this might be the book for you

This is a cookbook That Is Based On A Hindu Medical practice  called  Ayurveda which is rebalancing your Mind, Body & Spirit Through Food. This cookbook teaches you what type you are as well as what foods you need to be eating to get that balance. To me This is more than just a cookbook, but also a book of knowledge of this Hindu System. for those wanting to lead a healthy balanced life, this book not only teaches you, but also has many many recipes to help you achieve this lifestyle.
