I have been so overwhelmed by some of the books I've been given during my pregnancy. This is a brief, handy resource that is really grounded in research and science that is easy to read and understand. I love it! There is an additional book that pairs well with this one: Baby Bargains (by Denise & Alan Fields). Both are relatively inexpensive.

This was my go-to guide when I needed answers after my baby was born. The information is well-organized and easy to find (even for a sleep-deprived new mom or dad). It's an easy read, with clear answers and humor mixed in to keep it entertaining. It makes a great baby shower gift. It's an absolute lifesaver!

I bought this book a year ago, before I had my first baby and devoured all the need-to-know "new mama" world I was about to dive into. It hasn't disappointed. Even though I've had training and background caring for infants and children before having my own, I learned it really is different raising one of your own. I've come back to this book time and again for advice, tips and just to read from moms who have "been there" before. If you are expecting, even if it isn't your firstborn, buy this book. I hope it helps you keep your sanity like it helped me retain mine & offers you little glimmers of hope along the way.
