Michaela Muller is twenty four years old and an aspiring Accountant in a prestigious Accounting Firm in East London. When she was thirteen years old, she lost both her parents in a horrific car accident in Queenstown and her Grandparents took her into their home in East London. She has never completely made peace with her parent’s death, preferring to push the tragedy to the back of her mind instead of dwelling on it so that she can focus on her degree. She's been working EL Accounting Services CC since she matriculated. She enjoys her job, gets along well with her colleagues, except for the infuriating Liam Nel who spends his time teasing her.
Liam is also twenty four and has his fair share of sadness, especially where his sister, Caitlyn is concerned. Caitlyn is sixteen and is ill with Leukaemia, so Liam spends as much time as can with his sister where he will read to her and sometimes play the guitar.
Liam also finds Michaela as infuriating as she finds him and the last thing the expected was to be thrown together on a week-long audit at an attorney firm in Queenstown and then sparks fly between the two of them, however tragedy strikes when their audit is cut short by Caitlyn's ailing health.
