About the Author

Dr Kristi Pierce, PsyD, is an Air Force veteran, medically retired after two back surgeries failed to provide long-term relief. She returned to school and obtained a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on chronic pain management.
After enduring a third back surgery, followed by breast cancer treatment (She was diagnosed just two days before her daughter was born!), Dr Pierce took her "survivor" mentality, humor, positive attitude, and personal and professional experiences, culminating in Back on Track: A Survival Guide for People with Chronic Back Pain.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, she currently resides in Oregon where she is raising her two teens.
