I heard Kathleen Edwards on the radio a few times with her Back To Me song, and eventually came across her album at my music store and gave it a try since I did take a liking to her song on the radio. I loved her sound too much to hesitate in buying the album. This album holds a lot of magic with strong guitars keeping you entertained, and a voice that although might sound dull on a song or two here (especially Good Things her voice seems to drag) can at other times be amazing (Independent Thief and Old Time Sake.) If she didn't have the moving and strong background music her album would come off dull with her not so amazing voice. Yet somehow she makes it work, so her voice comes off as solid and even beautiful at times, and keeps most of her songs at a great and enjoyable pace. Her lyrics are easy to relate to as well. I highly recommend this album- Kathleen is worth knowing. Best songs: Independent Thief, Old Time Sake, Summerlong, What Are You waiting For?, Away, and Copied Keys.
