This book is of a poor quality. It is more about the author than the moon. I dont like to see some life failure in every darn picture. Everything he says about the moon and space has to some how connect to him. I spent money to read about the moon and space and see nice pictures of them. Not read about Kevin M Caruso and see pictures of him and his beaverfaced son.

We bought Back to the Moon for our children (13 & 9). Sharing the Apollo moonwalks and future exploration images with our children has been a wonderful remembrance for us, and a look to the future when our children may walk on the moon's surface. Nice job Kevin!

What a wonderfully written book about moon exploration. My 9 year old son and I are enjoying it and I have already bought copies for gifts. What is laser an acronym for? How does the flag on the moon look like it is flying, even with no wind? What do scientists do with the samples they bring back from the moon? Ever think about what new rules would be needed for sports on the moon? Kevin Caruso has! The amazing photos and graphs make this a great family book and school reference!

This is supposedly a textbook for school age children, but it's so much more than that! I think even adults who have been interested in the Moon all their lives, have watched the live broadcasts from the Moon, and waited, and waited, and waited for us to return will find out new things about the whole adventure. I was particularly interested in the chemical content of moon 'dust,' and there on page 131 it was! And it didn't stop there--go look for yourself. As I said, 'Not just for kids!'

This book is very well written and and it is easy to understand. Adults and kids can both enjoy reading this book. I would recommond that all schools learning about the moon should keep this book on their shelves for their students. Keep a copy at home too. Great pictures also.

When i was a young boy in the late 60's watching all of the Apollo missions to the Moon, i was so amazed that i found myself reading every book i could get my hands on about the Moon and Space Exlporation. Over the past few months my eight year old son and i have been enjoying this book so much that we bought a telescope just to look at the moon! Kevin Caruso has done an outstanding job!!

It is 30 years since the last astronaut left the Moon, and an increasing number of people are asking why there have been none there since. Kevin Caruso has produced an outstanding and spectacularly illustrated book showing why and how we should return to the Moon. The book is both a look backwards to what we once did, and a look forwards to what we might do. It is easy to read but scholarly, with many references and a list of helpful Web sites. I was a Principal Investigator for two Apollo experiments and a co-investigator for two more, but I found 'Back to the Moon' extremely informative. I strongly recommend this book to the generations that have arrived on Earth since 1972. Have a good trip!

A good friend recommended this book although I hardly ever read non-fiction. After getting this book second hand, I could not put it down. It really peaked my interest in space exploration and explained much of what the past has shown us for the moon. I am now telling all, even those with no interest in space to read this book.

Read many stories about the fictional return to the moon, but this one really hits the mark with how we may do it. Loved all the information about the Apollo missions and just the wealth of knowledge the author has gathered. Adult's or kids's with an interest in space exploration should pick this book up.

A great book about space travel that was in depth and informative as well as containing a lot of visual aids. An enjoyable book for the whole family to read.

Back to the Moon is a great book for middle school and high school level students and teachers. Lots of beautiful full color photos and space artwork. Easy reading, larger type. Nice Book!
