I love this book for so many reasons. This is the first cookbook I ever owned. As a single girl living alone in another country, I needed a cookbook in English to help me learn how to cook. While not a beginner level cookbook, the recipes are varied and easy to follow. But most importantly Chef Smith's stories about his family are beautiful and taught me how important the link between food and family is. It made me falk in love with cooking and the pleasure one gets from feeding others.
I recommend this book after having used it myself. It is filled with many great recipes. More than that, it contemplates that family unity is so very important for memories of tradition. Whether with friends or family, this sharing breeds security in our Families. Jeri Lynn- Jacksonville, Florida
