In Fenton's world, some kids are toons. Some think the change is biological. Others think the change is social. But some kids turn into toons, and Fenton's father just wants it to stop. He's even built a Realist movement to ban toons from the real world, hoping that it will keep his own children from following in their estranged mother's cartoon footsteps. Tensions rise as the Realists lobby to get their ban set into law, and toons fight for their right to be themselves. Fenton's father knows he can count on his two boys to stand behind him and his dream of building a safe, a toon-free reality. It's just too bad that Fenton's becoming a toon.... About the Author
Austen Crowder found her zeal for writing while playing hooky from an eighth grade English class and hasn't looked back since. Her work has been featured in the short story anthologies "Alone in the Dark" and "Different Worlds, Different Skins," and she is a regular contributor to The Bilerico Project, an LGBTQ political blog. She holds a degree from Wabash College and holds the dubious honor of being one of a handful of female Wabash alumna in the world.
When she's not writing, Austen keeps busy with games, friends, and music. She'd like to thank her writing mentor, Phil Geusz, as well as all the people who took the time to read her drafts. You all made this book possible.
