I know what dashboards can look like and I know Excel. This book's title is misleading in that it does not provide enough information on building dahboards beyond what I already know regarding the Excel application. Though the author did a good job providing an overview of the power inherent in using Excel to display data, the book would have been better served with a different title, like Advanced Excel Concepts. I'd give the author credit for covering the topic of scorecards as well as how best to display Excel data for decision makers, but I have seen much more robust dashboards than the examples he uses so I gained little as a seeker of dashboard information.

Ron provides a relevant approach for developing scorecards. The title references Excel as the tool, but the information is a good guide regardless of the tool. I found it of value as prototyping guide. I have passed this on to others that have found it to be useful for understanding how to get started.
