¿Slam, Slam, Slam, goes the steel wrecking ball, Bam, Bam, Bam, against a stone wall.¿ Bam Bam Bam, written by Eve Merriam, is a poem about an urban sight where a skyscraper is being built. The way this poem is written makes the reader almost feel the crashes as the wrecking ball smashes the old buildings, and the workers bang walls down, This book captured my imagination when I was little because it involves trucks, destruction, construction and action. This story captures all of those actions plus all of the brightly colored pictures really made me happy. I would repeat the title Bam, Bam, Bam over and over again until it drove my mom crazy. I think many other young kids would like this book too because it is so colorful. I never got tired of reading it. Also the words in this book are very simple and easy to read, so it is a good way for kids to learn how to read and spark their interests in books.
