Special Operator Lucas Shipley thought his living arrangement was temporary, since getting booted from the house by his wife. He sleeps on a couch in the apartment with four other divorced Navy SEALs, thinking he'll get the call to come home any day. He ignores the not-so-helpful advice his buddies are giving him about marriage, women and romance. Until he gets served with divorce papers.

Realtor Marcy Gelland is hired by Lucas' soon-to-be ex-wife to liquidate all their real estate holdings and help her orchestrate a speedy departure from Lucas' life. Based on what the hot-headed SEAL wife has told her, Marcy understands Lucas deserves every ounce of pain coming his way.

But when Marcy and Lucas are left alone together in the remote Northern California woods, they ignite a personal bonfire that threatens to burn down the whole forest. Marcy is forced to see she is wrong about Lucas.

Amidst the backdrop of hardened bachelor SEALs with their unsolicited, anti-long-term relationship advice, and a terrorist training camp operating nearby, Lucas must do what he's always done: be the hero and save the day. But will it be in time to save Marcy?

About the Author

Sharon Hamilton’s NYT and USA/Today SEAL Brotherhood series have earned her multiple bestseller lists both in the U.S., and internationally. Her Navy SEAL heroes learn to deal with life on life’s terms when they come back from deployment. Although highly trained and heavily equipped with the best the military has to offer, when it comes to falling in love, there are no rules, no practice runs and no manuals. Much is asked of the women who are strong enough to love them. But the rewards make up for all the interim heartache.

These men find their sometimes rocky road to recovery and redemption in the arms of their families, for whom they serve. They don’t do it for money, or glory. They are the ones who “get ‘er done.”

Sharon also writes Golden Vampires of Tuscany and Guardian Angels, which have also garnered bestseller lists and awards.

When not writing, Sharon can be found getting verra verra dirty in the vegetable and flower gardens she’s tended for decades. She lives with her husband in the Wine Country of Northern California, where most of her stories take place.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. This book is about two adrenaline junkies. I found myself being able to relate to them on a level that most people wouldn't be able to understand, The constant action and the thrill that races through you. So maybe the hot monkey sex wasn't part of my own personal life, but the adventure most certainly was! I can fully understand where these two characters are in respect to their lives and their emotions. To think that you've found your soul mate is hard to believe when you lead such intense and active lives. The characters are well thought out and the emotions that Ms Hamilton conveys through them are very believable. Parts of this book had me shedding tears as Alex and Sydney faced their own insecurities. Read it and you'll fall in love to our action seeking couple too!

Seal Brotherhood: Lucas is the first book I have had the chance to read by Sharon Hamilton. If you are looking for an intense, action packed, drama filled, hot and steamy story that is going to keep you on the edge of your seat holding your breathe, well then you have found the book you are looking for. Lucas Shipley has found himself in some hot water. His picture was posted online from a bachelor party in Vegas. In this case what happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas. His wife has kicked him out and has filed for divorce. Lucas is one of those guys that really does like the happily ever after life. He's not much for the party lifestyle and a girl in every port thing. Marcy Gelland has received the ultimate pleasure of having to deal with Lucas' soon to be ex but currently separated wife. Marcy is a realtor for a high class realty office and does her best to maintain a clean image and work ethic for her clients. She works with co-workers that really don't have each other back. Honestly this group might be quicker to stab each other in the back before they'd help each other. Lucas and Marcy meet up in a chance encounter at his cabin in the woods. As much as they do their best to try to fight their attraction to each other the chemistry is just too much. Sparks of attraction soon turn into a volcanic eruption of passion. Their happily ever after is not going to be an easy one. Lucas ends up on another mission Marcy ends up in a very dangerous and horrific situation. I don't want to tell you too much because it will spoil the story for you. I will tell you that there is a lot of drama, some very traumatic moments, and action that is breath taking. I have to say one of the things I love about SEAL's stories is the teamwork. These teams work so well together they can move as one and know what the other is going to do without saying a word. I enjoyed Sharon Hamilton's writing style. She certainly can tell an action packed drama with some hot and steamy romance scenes mixed in. I was given the opportunity to read and review this story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on SEAL Brotherhood: Lucas.

What's not to love about Sharon's Seals. If you like action adventure and lots of love you'll love this book. Love seeing some of the older Seals being in on the action again. Love this series

I really didn't want to like Lucas in the beginning. He seemed to be like my ex. Oh but like all of Sharon Hamilton's Bad Boys, he won me over. It'd hard not to fall in love with these guys. Lucas and Marcy were an awesome pair and I enjoyed the relationship between the two of them very much! He's my newest book BF :) I always fall in love with her Seals.

It’s not a cliffhanger but the hero doesn’t really come to any sort of epiphany about his behavior. No sudden maturing. Heroine is great. They spend much of book apart actually. Could have been better but it was like two separate stories.

Lucas Shipley’s wife had kicked him out of the house so he was staying with some other SEALs until she let him come back. Thinking that was going to be any day now, he was shocked when he was served with divorce papers. Connie, Lucas’ wife, was selling their 3 properties, using Marcy Gelland for the sales. Connie had told Marcy what a manipulator and seducer Lucas was so when Marcy went to appraise a remote cabin they own and found Lucas there, she soon saw he isn’t like that at all. Their chemistry is instant. While this was a very bad time for them to start a relationship, they spent the weekend together. Too bad Lucas is called in for a mission, ending their time together pretty fast. I liked this story and found some things to very believable such as the terrorist plot but some things were not, like Lucas and Marcy’s instant relationship and them having sex right after she had been sexually abused. The terrorist plot on US soil was so realistically written that it made me realize that it could actually happen. It is a scary thought. The beginning of this book didn’t give a very good impression of SEALs. The divorced men were sharing a house so we saw the personal side of them. They didn't think much of women and had several children scattered around the world that they didn't know or care about. It was hard to believe that these men could handle terrorist situations so well. Lucas was a good SEAL and knew what to do in life and death situations but he didn’t have a clue how to handle women problems. Or life problems in general. There was quite a range of characters in this story, like Lucas' wife, Connie, who is a self-centered witch and not a good mother. Then there are the dedicated SEALS and good-hearted Marcy. I really liked this author’s SEAL Brotherhood Series so I was looking forward to reading this. I like SEAL stories so; all in all, this should be great. Right? Well, it was good but not great. If you like steamy romances with terrorist plots, you will like this story.

SEAL Brotherhood: Band of Bachelors Book One Marcy Gelland just wants to do her job and sell the property Connie Shipley has hired her to sell. She is supposed to represent both Connie and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Lucas. When Marcy tries to get Lucas's signature on the forms, he pushes back. However, after talking to Connie, Marcy can understand why. Connie seems to care about herself and no one else, even her own child. After meeting Lucas again at his property, Marcy becomes entangled in a way she never expected. What no one knows is that there is danger lurking closer to home than ever before. If you're looking for a new group of SEALs with some cameos from the former Team, this is the story for you! *I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book left me with a bad feeling. It was a cliff hanger and it wasn't supposed to be. I was very disappointed with the story line. It left a lot of unanswered questions.

Gruesome. This book read like a frustrated adventure/psycho drama mystery; not a romance. The author should leave the romance part to someone who knows to do it. Don't waste your money.
