About the Author

Millie Ledford Lee was born in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Harlan, Kentucky.

Because of her Southern roots, most of Lee's stores are set in the South. Along the way, she has published novels, short stories and essays, and been a finalist in and won numerous writing contest. Her short story, "Trailer of Dreams" was a finalist in the 80th Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition.

Lee has a B.A. in English and Grammar from California State University, Long Beach. After having lived in Kentucky, Washington, DC and California, she now lives in Portland, Oregon.
