Overview

Chocolate Paradise, the city's premier adult-entertainment nightclub, is the backdrop for this tale of murder, sex, and romance between a sinner and a saint. Marissa Rogers, a young African-American female and struggling to survive on her own, becomes employed as a stripper while falling in love with her grandmother's married minister. Travis Leonard, a young, good-looking African-American male, struggles to fight against his temptation for Marissa as he takes his appointment as minister of his first congregation. Both of their lives, and the community, are in turmoil as strippers are murdered one by one. This riveting murder mystery is a race against time. Travis and Marissa must not only fight against the hidden secrets of their pasts, but they must find God's presence and purpose...and hope for a future.

Baring It All, kept reading my book from the beginning to the end. I couldn't put it down. It seem like I was right there with the characters in the background looking on to see what's about to happen next. Gena Garrison did a great job, much continue success. YOU GO GIRL LOL!!!! Murder, Sex, Lust, Intrigue, Romance, and surprisingly, God, dominate the pages of Baring It All, the heart stopping novel by newcomer Gena L. Garrison. Gena takes her readers into the steamy world of exotic dancing as she tells the story of Marissa, a beautiful stripper who falls in love with Travis, a handsome, but married minister. While some may take issue with Ms. Garrison¿s depiction of an African ¿American minister falling into the very sins he preaches against, I applaud her for expertly handling the subject matter while still being respectful to the church. Although some dialogue and sexual situations depicted in the book may offend some readers, those who can actually accept the truth in her writing until the very end will understand that there is an irreplaceable message in every single line. No matter what you have said, done, or felt...you will always have a home with God. I give this book FIVE STARS

Baring it All combines all of the sex of a Zane book, with all of the plot of a Terry McMillan book, followed by all of the mystery of a Steven King thriller. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of either of those authors.

This book has love...lust...mystery...murder...and salvation...all within it's covers. A perfect 'beach' book. Be the first to own it...be the first book club to read and discuss it. Whatever you do...don't miss it. The characters are real people and the plot is believable...you might even know some people and situations like that. Definitely worth the money.
