When I first saw the title "Bass Wisdom," it sounded pretentious and I cynically feared this would be just another overblown promise of bass fishing help, as you routinely find in the titles of magazine articles about fishing. After reading the book, I would say that the title, if anything, is too modest. The book is encyclopedic in content, very well organized, and clearly written in an entertaining style. Due to its depth of information, serious bass anglers, beginners and experienced alike, will find themselves studying, not just reading, most portions of the book. They also will find themselves returning to its chapters from time to time to put the author's abundance of tips and techniques into practice. For the devotee of bass fishing, it is virtually impossible to revisit the text without learning something new or being reminded of something crucial to success in the sport. As an avid bass angler with an insatiable appetite for literature and videos about bass fishing, I dare say that this is by far the most helpful information on the subject I have yet discovered.
