Try two as the first review attempt wouldn't let me give it any stars. Great follow-up to the first book in the series. Eagerly awaiting book three to see how Mr. Bennett resolves the cliff-hangers from this book. Will the unlucky charm alien survive or will its wingmen decide to kill it because it is a bad luck charm? Will the Earth, and Mars for that matter, survive or will they become the latest additions to the evil empire? Is Jack a necrophiliac? Feel like there is something missing in the final scene of his which would explain his actions, other than necrophilia. Good action, was a good mix of action and downtime - which is something many writers mess up. Too much action can make a great book, or movie, into a mediocre one. The latest Star Wars movie comes to mind - way too much action and no downtime for the audience to recover. Rooting for the captured Earthers to rise up against their oppressors.
