CHAPTER 1

Battles of Faith


Christianity is a battleground where your faith is being exercised under the authority of Jesus Christ. Being a born-again Christian does not exclude you from facing trials in this world. The Bible says he will not let you be tempted more than you can bear (1 Cor. 10:13).

Christians believe that when they are baptized and receive the Holy Ghost temptation is gone. You have just started a new phase of life.

The baptism of Jesus Christ in River Jordan led him to the wilderness to be tempted by the devil Matthew 4:1-11

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."

4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written:

"'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'"

7 Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."

10 Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

At the end of the temptation, Jesus Christ conquered over the devil.

Trials will always come, but woe unto the soul that will allow to be used by the devil, for it be better for him if he had not been born (Mark 14:21). Although faith has been described as a "substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11:1).

In the midst of warfare, faith does not tell us to be ignorant. The Bible says, "I am sending you out like a sheep in the midst of wolves so be wise as a serpent and innocent as doves."

Pastors should arise from their slumber and sleep and come together like the disciples to fight a good fight of faith. Waging war against one another is not the solution to conquering the devil. Demons are manifesting in the church spiritually and carnally, attacking the pastors and the children of God. Occultism is being practiced in the house of God. Sodomy is ruling the churches. The Bible says "it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth and it grieved him at His heart" (Gen. 6:6). These are battles encountered by Christendom and pastors.

The battle in Christendom needs to be fought spiritually because most battles we are facing are spiritual warfare. The Bible says to "put on the whole armour of God" (Eph. 6:11–14). "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."


Message to Pastors

Pastors are facing a series of spiritual warfare in their ministry and homes. They may not be wearing a military garment as a set man of their church, but Satan has sent out his angels to destroy and attack the leaders and his churches. The Bible says in Zechariah 13:7, "Strike down the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered and I will turn against the lambs."

Satan is growing stronger in winning more souls to his kingdom (hell fire), but the pastors that stand firmly shall conquer to the end, because Jesus is always a winning man!


Use Your Faith in the Midst of Battle

(1) Don't look upon your battles of life; look unto Jesus Christ, who is the author and finisher of our faith (Heb. 12:2). The spiritual battle cannot be attacked carnally. You approach the unseen battle spiritually because these are spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Put on the full armor of God "that is the Holy Spirit," anointing power of God, so when you encounter spiritual warfare, you may be able to stand upon your feet on the solid rock (Jesus) to utilize your faith in the midst of the battle to conquer demons.

Great men of God in the Bible have victoriously defeated their enemies. Moses said to Pharaoh, "Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'LET MY PEOPLE GO, SO THAT THEY MAY WORSHIP ME'" (Exod. 9:1).

Moses demanded the freedom of Israelites in the midst of affliction. Moses applied the authority of the supreme God, connecting his faith with God to subdue the carnal power of King Pharaoh. The Bible says, "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water; he turneth it whithersoever he will" (Prov. 21:1).

When God called Moses, God equipped him to go before Pharaoh. Moses complained and said, "O My Lord, I am not eloquent, ... I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue" (Exod. 4:10–12) God used Moses's weakness as a strength, and Moses led the Israelites out of exploitation of bondage to the land where God has a covenant with them. "To obey the voice of God is better than sacrifice." God said, "Now Moses go and I will be with thy mouth and teach you what thou shall say."

Now Moses has been bombarded with more anointing power. His faith to go to battle with Pharaoh has increased. God used Moses to relieve the Israelites from slavery.

Moses performed ten miraculous plagues in the land of Egypt before King Pharaoh. God said, "I will harden Pharaoh's heart and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt."

(I) The Nile waters turned to blood
(II) The frogs came and overran Egypt
(III) The lice covered the land of Egypt
(IV) The flies covered the land of Egypt
(V) The pestilence (the diseases of livestock)
(VI) The boils (skin diseases)
(VII) The hail storm
(VIII) The locusts
(IX) The darkness
(X) The death of the firstborn


Faith to go to a battle is a process that grows in the life of a pastor; it does not happen overnight. The Bible made it clear to us in 1 Corinthians 13:11, "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."

(2) Key of Faith in the Midst of Battle

The song says, "Prayer is the key, prayer is the key, prayer is the master key. Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer. Prayer is the master key."

In the midst of the battlefield when people are criticizing you, gossiping, and about to condemn you, don't give up, hold on to your faith in Jesus Christ. He will lead you to the end of the battle victoriously. Remember, the Bible says in Isaiah 43:2, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: When thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

The battle I encountered with demons has made my faith to be stronger and I have become closer to Jesus. In the midst of my battlefield, I was carnally weak but spiritually strong, relating my petition before God in prayer and fasting. The flesh may sometimes intervene to rule over me nervously. With "fear," I quickly use the key of faith, which is the words of God to conquer; I always say it is written, "Thou shall worship the Lord thy God and Him only shall thou serve" (Matt. 4:10).

In the midst of my trial, my battle, I allowed the spirit of praises and worship to reign in my heart; every word that proceeded from my mouth uttered praise and thanks unto God. I did not say any negative words. I kept myself very isolated in praying and fasting, seeking for the mercy and favor of God in my life. Bible says, "In all this Job sinned not nor charged God foolishly" (Job 1:22).

This is a vivid example that as Christians, we are guaranteed to encounter battles, affliction, criticism, persecution, adversity, and trials. Job replied, " 'You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?' In all this Job did not sin in what he said" (Job 2:10). We must be very cautious about the words that proceed from our mouths, especially during our afflictions or spiritual battles, using the Word of God. It is the sword of the spirit, and it pierces and cuts into pieces all the snares of the enemy. I encourage you all children of God that have allegedly conspired with false allegation to stand firmly upon the solid rock (Jesus Christ). Affliction and trouble won't last; they will soon fade away, and God will take all glory of your life. Amen.

Moses said unto the Israelites, "FEAR YE NOT, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will show to you today for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever" (Exod. 14:13).

(3) Words to Remember in the Midst of Battles

(1) Do not say evil words when you are in a state of desperation.

(2) Don't picture your problems in your forehead.

(3) Don't let your trial hurt people's feelings.

(4) Stay in the midst of people who can lift up your spirit.

(5) Encourage yourself in the words of God—"David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God" (1 Sam. 30:6).

(6) Always have a quiet time with God. Listen to his voice.

CHAPTER 2

God Is Sovereign over Battles


God is supreme over all battles of life. He has all authority, all power, all wisdom, and everything he has created is very good "to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks him" (Lam. 3:25).

God's supreme power has been invested upon his children, "that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will" (Dan. 4:17).

The battle of your life may be very hot, everybody has denied you, your family has forsaken you, people whom you've helped in the past have now become your enemies that conspire against you, and it seems the earth should open its mouth to swallow you up; don't give up as the battling is getting hot. God has prepared his host of angels: "Behold the devil shall cast some of you into prison that ye may be tried and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful into death and I will give thee a crown of LIFE" (Rev. 2:10).

There's no battle God cannot conquer. The scripture says, "The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is His name" (Exod. 15:3).

God may have allowed you to pass through the predicament you are in at the moment, but remember that the situation will strengthen you to give glory to God. The Egyptians fled from the face of Israel for the Lord fought for the Israelites against the Egyptians.


Battles of Flesh versus Spirit

The flesh is weak and corrupt to the things of this world. The flesh always loves to satisfy itself. The Bible says, "For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want" (Gal. 5:17).

If a blind man will lead a blind man, both will fall into a pit. The whole body of Christendom has forsaken and ignored God. Everybody is doing things of the flesh, which he's leading them to destruction of egotism. God is watching every church from heaven, asking who shall inherit the kingdom of God, but none will. Everybody in the household of faith is benefiting from things of the flesh, obedient to idol worshipping, which are works of men. They are like those that have graven them. They have eyes but cannot see; they have mouths, cannot speak; nose but cannot smell; and their legs cannot walk. They are deaf and dumb because they are man-made images to deceive the very elected men of God (Habakkuk 2:18-19)

18 "Of what value is an idol carved by a craftsman? Or an image that teaches lies? For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak. 19 Woe to him who says to wood, 'Come to life!' Or to lifeless stone, 'Wake up!' Can it give guidance? It is covered with gold and silver; there is no breath in it." Flesh Corrupts the Churches


There are man-made doctrines ruling the churches of God, which have exploited the children of God to be under bondage of Satan. The common slogan used among Pentecostal churches today is "Are you a born-again Christian?" The answer is always "Yes" and "Praise the Lord," but deep inside, their hearts are full of evil, to attack and carry out satanic obligations in the church. The Bible says, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Gal. 6:7-8) 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. The churches have become a center of attraction of sins, where ladies are half-naked. Bras or transparent dresses, and young boys and men put their dress pants in half of their waists. When pastors counsel or advise such brethrens, they turn against the pastor. Their mission is to seduce the pastor of the church, elders, evangelists, and workers. These are the reasons the pastors and workers of the vineyard should sanctify and purify and crucify themselves before God in prayer and fasting. This is the divine key to destroy the power of flesh that corrupts your churches. Let's follow what the Bible tells us, then our society, community, and nations of the whole world will be revived (1 Cor. 6: 8-11) 8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.


Church of the living God needs to be revived and delivered from every power of the flesh and spirit corrupting them. Let the churches go back to the old-time religion, where love and faith operated under one name—Jesus. He entered into the temple to cleanse the immoral practices of trade (Matthew 21:12-14) 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. 15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased.


Spiritually Created

God created all humans spiritually before we were naturally formed upon the earth's surface to multiply and replenish. God released his divine covenant upon the children that are obedient to his commandment. When Adam and Eve sinned against God, they were both chased out of the Garden of Eden. This led to the first Adamic punishment, both spiritually and naturally, of human race in this earth's surface. Genesis 1: 26-28 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

The spiritual man has enjoyed the carnal things of this world, which has led the fleshy man to fall into the depth of sins Battle of Pastors of destruction. But God looked upon the earth and saw that no one was righteous, and he put on the garment of righteousness to come and deliver the whole world from their sins. The Bible says, "I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10: 10-11) 10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. 11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

The spiritual human has corrupted his power with darkness that destroys the fleshy being of other people to reach or achieve their dreams in life.

(i) Telepathy
(ii) Psychic
(iii) Soothsayer
(iv) Fortune teller
(v) Crystal gazer
(vi) Witchcraft/sorcery


All these are devilish powers that are obtained through the spirit of Satan to influence, dominate, corrupt, and seduce the children of God that are not standing firmly upon the solid rock, so they can fall and rise no more.
