Very well written and illustrated comic. Good protagonist and supporting characters, and even a good antagonist. I wasnt really into the particular villain used, but a great start to the series

I’m not sure how to use my limited vocabulary to express how beautiful this book is. J.H. Williams III does such an amazing job of not just penciling but his page layouts are truly amazing and almost revolutionary. While this book relies on readers to have a good grasp on what has happened before its hurt by being part of DC’s new 53 because its not new. It’s a continuation of the previous series. I like that but I imagine new readers not following along as well. Greg Rucka not being apart of the book is noticed. Williams along with co-writer, W. Haden Blackman, write an interesting tale but Rucka’s storytelling is missed. The addition of Maggie Sawyer to the book along with Cameron Chase and the DEO is perfect for this book. I can’t wait to read the next volume!

A great continuation of the pre-New 52 Batwoman series. More of your cloak and dagger version of the Batman Family, but it builds up a unique take as Gotham City is usually filled with Batman-related characters. The writing is top notched compared to other graphic novels and the art is some of the best for a Batman Family title not starring Bruce Wayne :) Others that give it a lower than 3 star ranking aren't actually reading the comic as its a very well constructed around the fantastic artwork and just becasue its not the original writer of the previous Batwoman series doesn't limit that the original artist is doing a great job at going solo on this one.

Let me first say the art design amd visual flow of this comic is what bumped it to four stars for me. It adds excitement and took me through multiple storoes at the same time without confusing me. The storyline is solid and brings some new players to gotham. I am a bit of a traditionalist in gotham but meta humans are part of gotham and "batwoman" does a great job of keeping gotham gritty and fantastic at the same time. It is how I imagine the brothers Grimm would bring meta to the grit of Gotham city. If it hasa flaw then the personal lofeof Batwoman is probably it. Lots of family stuff and mystery tangled up in batwoman's relationships. Overall I'm excited to see more and discover medusa....

Just a terrible story...artwork is fine, but pretty pictures don't salvage bad writing.
