Overview

Be Careful Who You Love by Diane Dimond

The explosive definitive account of the Michael Jackson saga, chronicling the King of Pop's battles against child molestation charges from 1993 to 2005, from award-winning journalist

Diane Dimond, who broke the story first, over twelve years ago

Michael Jackson has long captured the world's attention, first as the dynamic lead singer of the Jackson Five, then during his highly successful breakout solo career. But somewhere along the line Jackson transformed himself into something hardly recognizable and was investigated -- not once, but twice -- for crimes we could hardly imagine.

Even now, after his unexpected acquittal on multiple charges of child molestation, there is a sense that the real truth behind the allegations is not known. The character of Michael Jackson -- from his humble beginnings to his rich career and the birth of Neverland Ranch -- is destined for great debate among fans, journalists, historians, and psychiatrists for years to come. In the meantime, there is Diane Dimond, the journalist of record on the Jackson case.

In November 2003, when the Santa Barbara county sheriff's department conducted another raid on Neverland Ranch, Diane Dimond and her camera crews were the only ones there to capture the moment and report the news to the world. Now, for the first time, Dimond recounts the multifaceted details of the Jackson case, utilizing her extensive notes and sources. What she tells us is a shocking story.

Be Careful Who You Love will take you behind the scenes and into the courtroom of one of the most controversial cases of the decade, while giving readers a dramatic glimpse of one reporter's vigilance and unending quest to uncover the truth.

The author's name alone should be a clear sign to any real MJ fan not to get this book. Don't waste your money on this. If you want her opinion just listen to any MJ hater and they'll give you the same thing for free. Tabloid Trash.

I just want to say that Diane might be investigating reporter but no way she is objective. Watching her on Court TV commenting on Michael Jackson, she wasn`t telling the facts that defense brought up. She was pretty much one sided and I don`t trust her. She was missing few points. Gavin was a liar, same as his mom. Michael had known him for two years and decided to molest him right after the documentary with Martin Bashir aired! No way. Everybody were watching him. That was a bad timing for these claims. And before that, GAvin and the whole family were saying that nothing ever happened. Diane never paid attention to these details. She just cared about her own fame. Arvizo family got the same lawyer, the same psychologist and the same detectives as Jordan Chandler. He didn`t even come to testify. And he is an adult now. And what about Macaulay and Wade Robson? And Brett Barnes? These were false claims also. WAde Robson is one of the best choreographers in the whole world. That`s what him and Michael were doing. DAncing and learning from each other. Michael is an artist.

This book is a waste of your money. A book full of lies and bias research. Diane Dimond wants you to believe Michael Jackson is a monster. I believe she is the monster trying to make a buck off of a brilliant music icon and human being.

This book is an insult to every thinking person's intelligence. It is designed to appeal to a certain cultural mentality. It came on the heels of a successful Media generated witch-hunt in which Diane Dimond was the reigning star. Her courtroom accounts are best described as contrived, an absolute departure from the actual events. This book is meant to reinforce Ms. Dimond's televised spin of and out right lies about events that lead up to and occurred during Jackson's trial. This book, like her earlier theatrical displays of "expect commentaries" and "insider knowledge revelations", is an unconscionable manipulation of facts, served to an unknowing public for no other reason then the advancement of her career, monetary gain and personal bias. In Dec 2009, Michael Jackson's FBI Files were released; this was followed by a very brief and scarcely reported FBI announcement that states nothing was found to lay the label pedophile on Mr. Jackson in 1993 or 2003, nor was there probable cause to have charge him in 2005 by the Los Angeles County District Attorney. The District Attorney initiated this investigation, which means he was kept abreast of the FBI's non-findings and so was Diane Dimond, which moves this book and its' accounts in to the category of fraudulent. As a fraudulent piece of work, it should be treated as if it were plagiarized and be removed from the shelves.

If you are looking for a bias, untruthful pile of crap to read, look no further....you've found it. Who is this author? If you are going to write a book about Michael Jackson shouldn't you get at least one more fact correct the than the spelling of his name?

She is mean and is trying to sabatoge Michael throughout this book! She is smart and she could have been a good resource, but she chose to put her intelligence in the wrong place! Michael is innocent or he would have been in prison...I don't care what anyone says! If any of the allegations that the boy said had matched up to M.J, it would have put him in prison, but he was not! So, poor M.J. go screwed by the people! That is a horrible thing to put someone through. Especially a person who is all about L.O.V.E!!!

Putting this drivel out at this time of year is no way to get a Christmas bonus. Diane Dimond has sealed her fate with the delivery of this old trash. She like Nancy Grace shows up as an annoying horse fly. That Michael Jackson trial is long over and nobody gives a damn. Even if he (Jackson) was guilty...Dimond and the kid's mother helped to acquit Jackson. 1ST RULE OF JOURNALISM: NEVER TRY TO OUTSHINE THE STORY/SOURCE! This book will wind up on the trash heap. The only reason to keep a copy is if Dimond gets a top level position in the White House.

At first glance, the author's name will throw up a big red flag. DD is a well-know tabloid journalist who has made a living from sensationalizing every aspect of Michael Jackson's life, with the exception of writing about his musical genius, which in her mind must be beside the point. If you are a reasonable person who wants to get the truth about this man, DON'T rely on Dimond's words. If you don't want to take my word for it,do a little research on her background. She is in the same league with Martin Bashir and others who don't care about people's feelings, they only care about their bottom line.
