About the Author
Julie Rayburn is a Christian author and speaker. Her passion is to encourage and inspire the application of biblical truth. Her last book, Be Still and Know—365 Days of Hope & Encouragement for Women, was inspired by a journal that her mother kept the last year of her life. The book is not about death, but about living the abundant Christian life now. We all desperately yearn for peace in the midst of life’s challenges. Julie hopes that her writing can inspire readers to be “still” before the Lord in order to glean spiritual wisdom that can be applied to everyday life. Julie’s next book, Peace in the Storms of Life, was birthed from her own life experiences. Jesus was the calm in the center of her storms. As she called to Him from the depths of her soul, He answered. These devotionals are the spiritual insights she gleaned as she clung to Biblical truth and listened to the Lord. She hopes readers will experience the peace that passes all understanding as they meditate on God’s Word in the storms of life. Julie has served as Teaching Director and Area Director for Community Bible Study (CBS). Currently, she and her husband, Scott are serving as CBS Ambassadors to Nepal. Julie is also on the CBS Board of Trustees. Julie is also a retired surgical, orthopedic nurse. She enjoys tennis, golf, and gardening. Scott and Julie have two grown children and four grandchildren. They reside in the Atlanta area. Visit www.julierayburn.com.
