We all go to the beach at one point in our lives. If you have, you must have loved it there. The breeze, sounds, smells, and the fun. Have you ever wondered what some other people do at the beach? Well I have, and I know there is more than sandcastles and swimming. It should not be a surprise how much actually goes on at the beach. Elisha Cooper’s Beach does a really good job of explaining what others do. People go to the beach, playing in the water and on the sand. Some look at the shapes and animals the clouds make -- “this is a whale eating a pancake” -- while others enjoy a picnic on the sand -- “The smell of grilling mixed with the smell of the ocean.” Beach shows you different activities that you can do in the ocean whenever you go there. This book encourages readers to do more at the beach than swim and build sandcastles. It also has pictures of clouds and a description of what the author thinks they look like. There are at least five pictures and a description below it, but on some pages, you see one picture of the beach and a lot of things that people do.
