Overview

The most valuable lesson Emerson Moore ever learned was from her parents: never get too attached to someone else. That’s why this hard-partying college student plays by her own code of bedroom conduct, refusing to stay with the same guy for too long. She gets all the pleasure of having a good time without the messiness of a relationship. So what if frat house–hopping has earned her a certain reputation around campus? At least no one gets hurt this way—especially her.

When ridiculously gorgeous Jaxon Riley moves in next door, Emerson’s not sure how long her vow against emotional intimacy can last. Jaxon’s tattoo, muscles, and sexy voice make him tempting, but he also seems to really understand her…until his jealous ex-girlfriend and Emerson’s life-changing discovery about her parents get thrown into the mix. After everything she’s been through, can Emerson handle a real relationship? Or will breaking her rules just lead to a broken heart?

This books was breathtakingly beautiful. I laughed, I cried. I smiled widely, I wanted to tear my hair out in frustration. I've been stuggling to find a book that would make reading enjoyful for me again, and I found it with this book. Jaxon is the ultimate alpha male. He's possessive (in a good way), he says and does the most adorable things. Emerson is lost. After suffering enormous loss, all she wants is a good time. Jaxon enters her world and screws up all the rules she had in place to never get her heart broken again. This book gives us, as readers, the HEA we all enjoy? Can't wait for the next book by this author. Hopefully, it'll be Jace's story. :)

I started reading this book a few days ago and couldn't get enough of the story. After reading the first page I was immediately hooked to the story. It's a story of a girl named Emerson who lives through 3 rules because of what happened to her past. One day she meets Jaxon and from then on. Both of their lives changed forever. Emerson began breaking her rules because of Jaxon. Jaxon and Emerson had an instant, undeniable attraction to each other. They pushed each other to their limits trying to be a better person for the other. Overall, the pacing of the story was good. Parts of the story never felt like they were too slow. Also the side characters of this story is probably the best I've read so far because they're such a close group of friends you can feel that after graduation they'll still be the best of friends.  I definitely highly recommend this book.

This is a story that just grabs you from the first page...you laugh, cry, and just get caught up in the characters lives.  I love the quote from Emerson about Jaxon "Your voice is a little like cocaine.  You could bottle that stuff up and sell it."  The writing is smooth and captivating and you will not want to put the book down.  I loved it and can't wait to read about the other hot twin Jace. "Be silly, be honest, and be kind."

I was pleasantly surprised by KL's book. This was a great unexpected read... Loved that it wasn't the 'typical' boy meets girl in college read! Loved both Emerson and Jaxon... Hot, hot, hot read!! Couldn't put this book down. Finished in a day. LOVETOREAD

Emerson is kown as the school slut and doesn't let anyone get too close to her. That's why she has rules to avoid relationships. That is until she meets Jax. When she's around Jax, Emerson has a hard time enforcing her own rules. She is determined not to break them. Not even for Jax, whom she can't get out of her mind. Emerson tries to get over her past before she loses Jax. He's being extrememly patient and waiting for to heal herself, but how long can he hang on to the hope that she'll come around? I really liked this book. A different take on the college scene. It's usually the guy that sleeps around, but in this story. Loved the start of the book and how the author had Emerson walking out of the frat house in the too small bra and undies! Starting out with a laugh I knew this would be a good one!
