A new sexy standalone novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland.

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.

He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.

When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight?telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.

You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.

He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.

Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.

Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.

Oops. My mistake.

Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.

I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?

That's what I thought...until I walked into class the next morning.

Well, hello Professor West, I'm your new teaching assistant.

I'll be working under you...figuratively speaking.

Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing?working under Professor West.

This was going to be interesting...

It's hard to say something about Beautiful Mistake that hasn't already been said, once again Vi Keeland has given us new characters to fall in love with. Beautiful Mistake is a standalone book featuring Caine and Rachel, it's their journey and it's a journey that's not all sweetness and light, Caine and Rachel have many ups and downs to cross before they get their HEA. This book is a love story that will draw you in and pull on your heartstrings, it will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with plenty of twists that you don't see coming. This book has it all happiness, heartbreak, sadness and plenty of frustration but by the end I'm sure you will saying as I was this is Vi Keeland at her best, this is a must read !!!!

This book was fantastic! The woven story of how there are Angels sent to use and soul mates. Heartache, loss, guilt, and love. I felt so many emotions throughout this book. I loved the humor and I loved the heat but I also loved the miscommunications as that is a reality. Sometimes I had a hard time connecting with the main female lead with how she handled her emotions but again, that is real and it made sense towards the end. Great story!

I got this book for Christmas because my husband always asks what I want, so last year I told him to read the backs of romance books and pick one out that he thought I would like. Anywho, he did a great job because I love Vi Keeland books and this was no exception! I love having a book that you can't help but laugh out loud or snicker behind the pages :) This book is that and sooooo much more! I couldn't put it down! You'll love these characters and get a good laugh out of things that occur.

Beautiful Mistake is a very entertaining book! The beginning of the book and how Rachel and Caine meet is super funny. Their relationship is filled with banter and flirting, neither knowing what they really want from each other. At first I thought it was a little like Bossman with Caine's storyline, but as more and more happened it became much different and unique. I didn't always like having to wait to find out Rachel and Caine's secrets, but it definitely kept me guessing and wanting to know what actually happened in their pasts. I liked that we did get some present tense Caine chapters after a while, I still would have liked some more, but I enjoyed what we got from him. Their story and history is very unique. It's sad yet special. I really like how everything connected and ended up playing out. The epilogue was cute, I just wish it could have been longer.

When I first started reading this and saw it was a professor and his TA I thought I knew what this story would be about. But, thankfully I was wrong. It is so much more. It was filled with so much emotion. I never realized the effect music had. To a situation or even to how a person reacted to anything. But after reading Beautiful Mistake I now take notice to a song not only for the words and rhythm but to the effects it has on me. Whether it calms me down and even relaxes me when having a tough day. Music is for the soul and this book has that in spades. Rachel had a not so nice upbringing and music helped her through some tough times. Caine helped her to see and hear what music can do for you. Vi Keeland is truly an amazing author and you fall in love with her characters from the first page to the last. Even with her unexpected twists you are unable to put down any one of her books. They simply get better and better.

Beautiful Mistake was just wow, it was so much more than I expected. The initial meeting between Caine West and Rachel Martin was hilarious and had me laughing out loud and then sharing in her embarrassment when she realizes just what has happened. Not to mention finding out the next day that she is a teaching assistant to this gorgeous man, Professor Caine West, ouch, oh how she has messed up. Needless to say I was completely captivated from the first page. Caine is a stickler for rules in his class, he has no patience for people that are not on time or not prepared for class, while Rachel is a mess and tightly wound. All of this had me thinking this would be a professor/student affair of sorts, but it was so much more. I never saw it coming, what actually happened between these two, and poor Rachel never imagined it either. I loved this book, the laughter, the tears, angst, and suspense held my attention until the last page was turned. Five feisty stars for this one!!

This book was the story of Caine and Rachel. Having both been through difficult childhoods or situations growing up these two meet and connect on a deeper level. Not a lot of crazy drama but still a good story

4.5 “Feisty” Stars! Outstanding stand alone! A definite must read! The Review: Already a long time fan of this author, I can never say no to one of her books. And this book was no different. I loved the swoon-worthy, full circle story. I loved the warring, passionate characters. And I very much enjoyed the talented writing. All equaling to a must-read that I didn’t put down until I hit the last word on the last page! And even then, I hated seeing it end. Story/Characters... Rachel Martin hasn’t dated since her short term boyfriend/roommate/good friend broke up with her eight months ago. Being a music major at Brooklyn College, she doesn’t really have time for relationships, but when she finds one, she wants it to have potential. Not just be a one night stand. She’s also not the traditional music major who excels in any one instrument or sings or even writes lyrics. She just loves music. Paying her way through college and working full time at O’Leary’s bar and signing on to be Professor West’s new TA after her last professor passed away, she needs the added income to pay her way but when she meets her hot new professor, lines get blurred real fast. Caine West (gah! love that name!), music professor at Brooklyn College, has a dark past filled with regret and pain. He doesn’t do commitments and he shies away from beautiful women who might want more, but the moment he meets Rachel, her sassy mouth and her “don’t mess with me attitude” draw him in. One of the things I love most about this author is she always introduces the main characters in the most fun and unique way. Right from the jump, you know this is going to be a wild ride. When these two meet, it’s instant hot-tempers and combustible fireworks! But there’s also that delicious slow build that makes romances worth reading. Rachel and Caine are super hot together! Rachel, though having a painful past, wasn’t crippled by what had happened to her and all she’d been through. She was compassionate, determined, strong and still light-hearted at times. Caine... wow, that man was s-e-e-e-e-exy! From the moment he and Rachel are introduced, they are at odds with an underlying sexual tension that had me anxiously turning the pages to see what happened next. He might come off as a closed-off, aloof playboy, but he had a deep, soulful heart and an incredible insight into all things ... except himself. He just couldn’t see the caring person he was and it made him all the more attractive. The Wrap Up: With dual POV’s and an easy to follow timeline, Beautiful Mistake was definitely beautiful but absolutely no mistake at all. It was flirty, fun, intelligent with a bit of angsts and so totally unputdownable! I loved everything about it!
