In the third book in the Beautiful Bastard series, an agreement between a venture capitalist and a bookish woman quickly becomes a very NSFW version of My Fair Lady.

A bombshell bookworm. A chronic Casanova. And a lesson in chemistry too scandalous for school.

When Hanna Bergstrom receives a lecture from her overprotective brother about neglecting her social life and burying herself in grad school, she’s determined to tackle his implied assignment: get out, make friends, start dating. And who better to turn her into the sultry siren every man wants than her brother’s gorgeous best friend, Will Sumner, venture capitalist and unapologetic playboy?

Will takes risks for a living, but he’s skeptical about this challenge of Hanna’s…until the wild night his innocently seductive pupil tempts him into bed- and teaches him a thing or two about being with a woman he can’t forget. Now that Hanna’s discovered the power of her own sex appeal, it’s up to Will to prove he’s the only man she’ll ever need.

Amazing! Christina Lauren did it AGAIN!!!! Could not put this book down. Loved how funny it was, literally had to read few pages to my husband after he asked why I was laughing out loud. Id give more stars if I could. Must read!!!! Only little dissapointed in how short the book was, about 275 pages

My favorite of this series for sure. Instantly fell in love with Hanna and Will. Never felt bored with their relationship and the build up was fantastic. Possibly one of favorite romances of the year.

I absolutely loved this book… loved it! A playful, entertaining and sexy story! It was everything I could have wanted. By the end I was a mess and so in love with all the characters it was ridiculous. I think Will and Hanna are perfectly matched and watching them grow was so heartfelt. I loved their interactions! There was the perfect amount of drama and I always seemed to be on the edge of my seat wondering where their relationship was going and how it was going to play out. I was completely wrapped up in the story. There was a lot of was playfulness in this book but I felt it was very emotional as well. I felt like my heart was in my throat several times.  The other characters from previous books made an appearance and their interactions are always classic and several times throughout they totally made me laugh. Chloe and Bennett. Max and Sara. It was so nice to get snippets of their life and what they were up to. I think it’s great how they all intersect throughout this book and the series as well. It was all perfect! And there's a perfect something about one of those couples and it made me beyond happy. I think they all have such a great dynamic as friends and couples.  I thought that Will and Hanna’s characters developed nicely and there was great pacing. It never felt slow to me and I thought it had a fantastic build. I tore through this book not wanting to put it down. I was so excited for the end but as soon as I got there, I was sad it was over. And that bit right at the end? *sigh* So them! Excellent writing! Of course there was a huge supply of hotness and sexy times. I mean holy hell Batman! That's some heady stuff. I felt like I was busted doing something wrong when my husband walked into the room and all I was doing was reading! I have to say, I’m pretty sure Will is my favorite out of all the guys. I really liked them all but Will, I just got him. I did love Max (I mean seriously, he’s British!) but there was something extra special about Will… it might have been the Star Wars t-shirt that pushed me over the edge. ;-) The Beautiful Bastard series is definitely one I will reread and would absolutely recommend. I wish I could give it 6 stars! Loved it all! ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

I thought Beautiful Bastard was the best one in the series until I read this one. I absolutely loved it! My favorite so far. Definitely worth reading... more than once!

Of the Beautiful series, this was the best buildup of the three. I wasn't so sure when they released the intiial storyline teaser. I thought it sounded cliche. The story was fantastic. It wasn't my favorite ending of the series, but it was my favorite overall book. Will and Hanna all the way.

I liked the entire series but this one is my favorite. I don't usually laugh out loud when I read books but there was a section in this one that had me laughing hysterically. The dialogue in this one was definitely better than in the others.

I loved Hannah! I loved how she just said what was on her mind. Some of the things that came out of her mouth was hysterical! I loved Will. Could he be any more perfect? I just loved how he just "got" the female mind. He was sweet, sexy and just completely adorable. I really enjoyed their story and how the two of them came together. I laughed a lot at their discussions. So funny! I think Bennett is still my favorite, but Will is an awfully close second.

I can't stop reading this book over and over! Love the whole series but this one really pulled at my heartstrings. Sweet, sad, sexy, happy and hilarious all rolled into one hot, steamy love story. Please, please give us more of Will and Hanna!!! I am just not ready to say goodbye to them yet.

This book absolutely blew my mind. I've loved every book in the series--I've read them all. But this one had a depth and a sweetness that completely took me by surprise. I knew these girls wrote fantastic sex scenes and great chemistry. I knew they wrote snappy dialogue and fun, breezy stories. But I had no idea they could write a book with such wonderful relationship growth and depth, this book blows the other ones out of the water. Five enormous stars, I am absolutely stunned and smitten! BRAVO!!

Normally I'm not much of a fan of the older man trope, but I was okay with this one. Because first of all, I love Hanna! So much about her, except for probably the super-smart bit, was a lot like me. The being too honest, blurting things out, and other stuff. Once again Sebastian York was the male narrator, and I wasn't sure about when he would do the British friend's accent. But since that wasn't the main character, it was okay. This had the usual steamy sex scenes that I love by this author. And the humor, and the drama, and I loved getting to see Max and Chloe and all the other past characters.

My favorite out of all the beautiful series, which is a hard choice. I absolutely fell in love with the story lines and the character. I have bought and read every book in the series and even moved on to her next series starting with dirty rowdy thing, then fell in love with that series too. I even told friends about these books and let them read it. LOVE LOVE LOVE them all!!!

These two ladies know how to weave you into a story. So much so, you feel that desperate need for release or feel what ever they are feeling at that moment. They pull you in! And when you read that last sentence at the end of the book, you sit there completely dumbfounded because it's over. That is the wonder and beauty of reading these books! You will Not be able to put them down until you are done.

I had so much fun reading this book! I needed a break from emotional books this week, so I decided to jump into a Christina Lauren book. I haven’t read the other books in the Beautiful Bastard series yet, but I really enjoyed this one. Beautiful Player has the right blend of scorching hot sexy times and sweet emotional connection. I knew nothing about this book before I picked it up other than so many people love this installment of the series.  It didn’t take long for me to be completely sucked in.  Why, you ask? Well it’s a brother’s best friend type of story. I love that trope and this one was really well done! I loved Will and Hanna. Hanna Bergstrom is twenty-four and completely married to her graduate school job in the lab. Her father and brother stage a small intervention to push her to get out and live a little, do things that normal twenty-somethings do.  Her brother, Jensen, recommends that she reach out to his friend Will Sumner, the subject of Hanna’s teenage dreams. Seven years older than Hanna, Will had been in a different place in life when he’d lived with Hanna’s family during her teen years. But now, Hanna is at an age where they could be friends…or maybe more. Following her family’s advice, Hanna reaches out to Will and enlists his help to learn how to date and pick up guys. But before long, the man known for being a player is the one who’s falling hard. “Hanna, I don’t know if I’ve ever wanted something more than I want you.” I LOVED watching these two fall in love.  And I loved that Will, the player of the two of them, was the one who fell so hard first. Normally, in the player storyline, it’s the hero who puts the stops on the relationship, but here Hanna is the one throwing Will for a loop. “It wasn’t just a physical attraction between us. Of course I’d been attracted to women before. But there was something more with Hanna, some chemistry in our blood, something between us that snapped and crackled, that made me always want just a little more than I should take. She offered her friendship, I wanted her body. She offered her body, I wanted to hijack her thoughts. She offered her thoughts, I wanted her heart” Will was a very sweet guy (I love sweet guys) and so incredibly patient with the mixed signals Hanna was giving him. He’d always seen Ziggy, his family’s nickname for her, as Jensen’s little sister. As he gets to know this adult version of her, the more he realizes he likes her, like likes her likes her. His Tuesday and Saturday sexual appointments are no longer a priority for him as Hanna takes root in his brain. And the sex scenes were so freaking hot! There was a lot of sexy times, but there were also a lot of Will and Hanna just spending time together. Since the reader got a lot of Hanna and Will time outside the bedroom, the number of sex scenes wasn’t irritating to me. They were full of emotions and done very tastefully. Will and Hanna are so good together! What didn’t love so much was Hanna’s exaggerated lack of sexual knowledge. She repeatedly mentioned that she didn’t know how to do something or didn’t know how to put a condom on. I didn’t mind her lack of knowledge but repetition and exaggerated naiveté was a little distracting and could have been tamed down. All in all, this was the perfect book for me at the time I read it. I will be reading the other books in the series too! I want to know about Max and Sarah and Chloe and Bennett. 4 stars

I new you had it in you girl! I have been reading and waiting for this author to really show us something. Obviously she knows how to write the heat but I knew there had to be more and here it is. I loved the depth and development here. Great read!

Just this past week one of my friends told me the Beautiful Bastard series books are "her crack." I couldn't agree more. I find myself hopelessly addicted to each new pairing and their story. This series just keeps getting better and better. What I loved most about Beautiful Player was the pairing of Hanna and Will. I liked that they had a long history of friendship and that it slowly built into something more as he tried to pull her out of her shell. Their banter was amazing and I found myself chuckling with nearly every interaction... at least in the early stages. I loved how Hanna was so forth-coming and open about sex (and everything else) and how shocking Will found that. This might have been an unlikely pairing in the beginning, but it totally worked for me. They had great chemistry that eventually grew into steamy sexy times. The only downside to this book was the lack of communication and thus the misunderstandings between these two. It was really frustrating at times, but not enough to change my feelings about the book. It just made me want to handcuff the two of them together and make them talk until they worked things out. I liked them so much together that it kinda sucked when they weren't. One thing I love about series like this one is that with each new book, not only do we meet a new couple to cheer for, but we get to catch up with the couples from earlier in the series. I freaking love the bromance between the men in this series. It, much like the books themselves, gets better with each new installment. I love how these guys give each other a hard time, but always with their best interests at heart. There's something so real about the friendships in this book. I swear, I read them nearly as much for the friendships as I do the couplings. Now that I'm caught up on all the full-length novels, it's time to conquer the novellas.
