Yep. That's an "s." There are two of us!
We're East coast girls separated by Long Island Sound who met in Physician Assistant School and have been besties ever since. And we can safely say that thirteen miles of water does not get in the way because we talk or text, no exaggeration, at least 150 times a day (no really, we do) about everything and nothing. Shockingly, we never (we mean never) run out of things to say. Umm, ever. We definitely laugh A LOT and we're a tad sarcastic. And if we're being totally honest, one or two people might have, on occasion, used our names and 'dramatic' in the same sentence. But it's hard to trust the sources since they married us.

It only took twelve years, two husbands, five kids, two dogs, and a two week vacation in Cape Cod later to decide the romance world needed a splash of medicine. Write what you know.
So you can easily find us at 4 o'clock on Bank Street beach with a glass of cold prosecco brainstorming. And guaranteed if we bump into you, literally, it's only because our iPhones are glued to our hands (totally out of our control) either writing or editing our next novel (and yes it is possible to do from your iPhone, we mastered it... damn those straight quotations).

When we are not working on our book or reading the latest angsty romance on our kindles, you basically name it and we have it going on. Soccer, lacrosse, golf, swimming, dance, gymnastics, football, chess, baseball, basketball, skiing, ice skating, school, homework, and more school.
Oh yeah, did we forget to mention our careers in medicine?

Needless to say, we realized fast that something had to go, so we opted for sleep. It's completely overrated (yet so AMAZING) and delirium makes everything funnier. Good thing we share a brain and can pretty much complete each others sentences (definitely weird, we know), otherwise it might have taken us two years to write Beautifully Awake rather than one.

So that's our story, who we are...just add AUTHORS to the list!

Riley Mackenzie is a new author to me and HOLY CRAP! I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on this book! It is beautifully written…no pun intended. Chase and Lili have become one of my favorite couples. Their dynamic is incredible, with explosive chemistry and sweet warmth. I was sucked into their lives and devastated to reach the end. Lili sees herself as broken and emotionless, but from the first page, I was snickering at her inner monologue. She has a huge heart and doesn’t realize how much love she exudes for her friends and patients. So when Chase swoops in and begins to break through that wall, I loved seeing her recognize the emotions she forgot. Discovering the love that surrounds her life, and the consuming love she can find with Chase. I really hate it, in books, when the heroine is a doormat. When she has every right to be angry, but lets the hero get away with his crap because he distracts her with mind-blowing sex and an unexplained apology. So, when Lili stands up for herself and vents her anger (all the while fighting the distraction hovering- mind-blowing orgasms) it was refreshing. When her forgiveness is finally given, I felt like it was mostly justified. She doesn’t put up with his crap, but does recognize when to back off, knowing he is as broken as she is. Chase…oh Chase. He is so yummy, I could eat him for every meal. His intensity, possessiveness and determination to have Lili, is sexy as hell. He’s brilliant, a renowned surgeon, a successful (yes, freaking rich) entrepreneur, and an inventor of revolutionary medical technology. My heart broke for what he suffered through and I loved him even more for trying to overcome it to have Lili. He so kind and thoughtful, loving and playful, but it’s so clearly Lili that brings those things out in him. He spends a weekend thoroughly impressing Lili, just to prove to her what he seems to already know, that they belong together. I was melting the whole time, but after he calls his apartment “our” apartment, I was just a puddle on the floor. I didn’t even question how fast he was moving, His intensity and personality made it believable. Have I mentioned I could eat him? He is the best dessert.  I cannot tell you how amazing this book is. I practically read the last pages at a snail’s pace, avoiding coming to the end. It’s definitely one of those books that I wanted to turn around and begin reading all over again. This is officially on my “to be read again and again” list.

Sunny's Review: Where to start...ok...Chase...sigh....seriously...Chase is AWESOME! You get to see the whole Alpha male in a different way. Chase is a surgeon so he has to have confidence and control. He takes that into his personal life with Lili but at the same time he has a softer unsure side too. You see it sometimes when he talks to her. I am not a huge fan of the jealousy but hey that can be overlooked in this case. Now, Lili is awesome too. She is strong and independent and I love that Chase just kind of sweeps her off her feet. She has been going along fine but when he walks in she is a goner. I love that he takes care of her b/c after everything she has been through she deserves it. I also like that she is pretty down to earth about it. I don't feel like she was ever trying to take advantage. Go get this book! I am giving it 4.3 stars out of 5. I love Chase and Lili and let me tell you I can't wait for Asher's story!!!
