Michele Bardsley does not disappoint in this third title in her series set in Broken Heart, Oklahoma. If you love humor in your romance this is definitely an author you need to check out.Patsy Donahue is still adjusting to becoming a vampire. She runs the hair salon in town, though with the werewolves around she's starting to feel more like a dog groomer. Now there's a demon on the loose and a hunky stranger who keeps coming to her rescue. Who is he and why does he appear to be in hiding? If you like MaryJanice Davidson, Katie MacAlister, or Dakota Cassidy, then you need to read Michele Bardsley. If you aren't familiar with this series, they can be read alone, but it's better to start with I'm the Vampire That's Why.

The Setting -- is still Broken Heart, Oklahoma. You see a lot of Patsy's hair salon and her trailer and a few other places you may or may not recall from a previous book. The Characters -- are still as endearing as ever. I really did like Patsy; then again I grew up knowing this type of character in real life, so I had an excellent mental video of what Patsy was doing and how much hell she was raising. Her love interest, Gabrielle, didn't impress me as much as I would have liked. I will say that Patsy put him in his place, which made me roll with laughter and like the character all that much more. You see your favorites from before in all kinds of glorious action - because this book might be the most actiony of them all! The Plot -- of this book is perhaps a turning point in the Broken Heart series. There are a lot of things that happen that change the way Things Have Been. I enjoyed the story, but I felt like overall it was rushed, especially towards the end. I felt the first, but when everything starts unfolding and stuff hits the fan, well, I just thought it lacked that sparkle the other books had. I was a little disappointed with this book after how much fun the first two were, but I still read it in one sitting and loved every minute of it.

This book was suspenceful and romantic at the same time. This is a must read before going any further in the series. I love how I was kept hanging until the very end. The new charachters that were introduced were great. It is always nice to find out how other other powers work in the world.
