About the Author

I was born in San Diego, California in 1950. I was raised in California, Oregon, and Nevada. I grew up in small churches where I was expected to participate even as a child. My mother was a Christian, and my father was an agnostic. From my earliest memories, my mother taught me about God and the Bible. I owe my faith in God to her.
Regarding formal education, I attended public schools and graduated from Morse High School in 1968. I then attended ACU (graduated 1972, BS Biology), Baylor College of Medicine (graduated 1975, M.D. degree), Oregon Health & Science University (graduated from Family Medicine Residency 1978), and completed another year of residency at Baylor College of Medicine in the field of Internal Medicine in 1984.
Over several recent years I have been a student by distance learning at Sunset International Bible Institute, and have an Degree of Associate of Bible Studies from them. In have practiced medicine in Oregon, Nigeria, and Texas. The last 23 years of my work as a physician was as the Medical Director of the Abilene State School in Abilene, Texas, which is an institution for the long-term care of people with mental retardation. I retired from the practice of Medicine in 2008.
I was a missionary to Nigeria in 1978-79. It was there that I learned about primitive biblical Christianity from Nigerian preachers. I have been going on mission trips to Ghana for the last 12 years. This work has been evangelistic in nature with the goal of church plantings. Over the past two years I have concentrated on maturing these churches.
I wrote my first book entitled Becoming A Mature Christian: Fundamental Principles and Necessary Leadership, Volume 1 in 2010. I have since writen a second book entitled God's Covenants and Restorations in 2011. These were written because of my concerns for biblical Christianity in the midst of its rejection in the West, and its increasing compromise in Africa.
