About the Author

I was born and raised as a true Californian. My immediate family is big enough to fill a baseball lineup. Although being a late bloomer, the realization finally came. My calling in life is to create. My passion for writing started in fourth grade when I was top five in a local writing contest. Using writing as a tool helped me tremendously to cope with the troubling times. Then, in high school, my passion for writing turned into love thanks to my high school English teacher. She turned National Writing month into a school project where we spent the month of November doing the one thing I loved, writing. Long story short, I blew the project out of the water. My teacher was highly impressed and suggested I get my story published. Unfortunately, I wasn’t ready for the world to read my writing. She believed in my potential before I knew how to believe in myself. Even though, this is a different book, my dream has come true. I hope you enjoy every inch of my first published book, Becoming Barker!

Read this book from a Facebook book group. I ended up going to the reviews after finding several grammar errors. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel after reading several of the less then 4 star reviews. I'm glad that I kept on reading. I couldn't get enough of this book. Sabine went through a lot during the book and made it so much better. I feel like there could be some triggers for some people, so read with caution if you've miscarried, lost a child or have had a unfaithful partner.

I LOVED this book! I'm a rom com kind of girl and this is a total rom com book.
I was hooked by the end of the first chapter and I didn't want to put it down.
I will be reading it again.

I definitely was not ready

The emotions this book got out of me was incredible. By the end of the first chapter I was angry. As the story progressed I felt sadness, happiness and apprehension. It kept you guessing as to how things were going to turn out. At one point I was so angry at the author because "WHO GAVE HER THE RIGHT TO MAKE ME BAWL LIKE A BABY".

All in all this book was incredible, especially for being a first book by this author. I look forward to reading more by her.
