Becoming Nadia is a great kick-off to a great series. What begins as a Bourne Identity-style awakening of an amnesiac quickly becomes something much more fantastic,  and I mean that in the best way possible. The action comes fast and furious, all the while keeping a great cat and mouse thriller going that's chock-full of surprises.  I would tell you more about the plot, but I need to start reading the next book in the series right this minute!

BECOMING NADIA is the debut suspense filled roller coaster ride from one of Muse It Up Publishing's best storytellers, Cyrus Keith. I am not a fan of roller coaster rides because I like to keep my stomach firmly planted inside me...where it belongs, but now that I have read BECOMING NADIA by brilliant author Cyrus Keith, I have discovered there IS a roller coaster ride I will eagerly climb onto, grab my seat by my clenched hands and wheeeeee through the whole ride. BECOMING NADIA gives us sci-fi, seat of your pants, nail biting angst, soul-wrenching questions about what makes LIFE, life, and how love can manifest in places you can least expect it. I am so enamored with Cyrus Keith's story-weaving skills, I am already planning to bury myself as soon as I load UNALIVE the next in Cyrus' NADIA saga onto my Kindle. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING MR. KEITH...

Let's start thisboff by saying I know Cyrus in a professional light (outside of writing) and I state with a huge sense impartiality that yes, it's the longest book I've ever read, but definitely one of the better. It's not you standard good guy-bad guy books and that when I finished it, it left me looking forward to the next in series. Nicely done Cyrus.

I’ll be very honest. I purchased this book because it recently won the Epic Award for its category (March, 2012) and I wanted to see what the top award winning book was like. Now, I am challenged and you will not be disappointed. A fresh and original, action packed plot that is indeed, a real page turner. In the early chapters, just when you think you’ve got this one figured out, Cyrus Keith turns on the surprises and literally, burns the house down. It’s an exciting adventure, a good romance and an open threat to thrill us with the next book in this series. It seems obligatory in reviews like this to say you’re waiting to see it on the big screen. This one, deserves to be there. Well done, Cyrus, you genuinely earned each and every one of these stars… and that Epic Award, too!

The first cover I ever saw at MuseItUp Publishing was the one for Becoming NADIA, and it took my breath away. I looked at the cover and KNEW I had to read this book. That was late last year. The book was released in April and I bought it as soon as it came out. At the time, I was busy tweaking my own self-published tome, and Becoming NADIA was such a page turner, I had to force myself to put it down in order to release and promote my own book. Becoming NADIA was well worth the wait and lived up to every one of the expectations our beloved Cover Goddess, Delilah K. Stephans excited in me with her chilling, masterpiece cover art. The book grips you from the first sentence and takes you on an edge-of-your seat ride that will stay with you long after you read the last page. I will probably go back and reread Becoming NADIA when I am not so busy just to savor the suspense. It is an action story filled with emotion and sci-fi speculation that will leave you asking what if? If you find the cover art chilling-you should. You definitely should.

A Complex Novel on the Nature of Identity and the Soul It's difficult to review this fine, complex novel because of the need to avoid spoilers. When asked, I picked "Hopeful" as the word which best describes the mood, but "Suspenseful" and "Thoughtful" might do as well. There's a deadly chase and a love story, but what stands out best for me is Nadia's struggles when it comes to defining her own essence and what it means. The bad guys are bad, yet at the same time, they make a semi-plausible case for why they're morally right. I liked some of the characters too, such as Bunny and the old man. There's a fair amount of science and the author makes Bunny's hacking skills believable. I'd call this a science-fiction near-future thriller. Highly recommended.
