About the Author

Legendary in Japan, Hideki Noda has long been acclaimed as a leading theatre practitioner. He directed the first opera in the country’s New National Theatre and has garnered outstanding acclaim for his mouldbreaking interpretations of Kabuki classics. His fascination with the similarities and disparities between Japanese and British culture has led him to work with key figures in British Theatre. Oberon publishes his plays Red Demon and The Diver.

Colin Teevan’s plays include The Lion of Kabul, How Many Miles to Basra? (winner of 2007 Clarion Award for Best New Play), The Diver and The Bee, both co-written with Hideki Noda, Missing Persons; Four Tragedies and Roy Keane, Monkey! and The Walls.
