And then in BEFORE WATCHMEN: DR. MANHATTAN, JMS teams with fan-favorite artist Adam Hughes on the all-powerful super-man Dr. Manhattan. I'm not someone who believes Watchmen is the Holy Grail, so reading a prequel doesn't fill me with dread like some. This collection had three stories all by JMS with three amazing artists. The art in all three was top-notch. Andy Kubert, Adam Hughes, and Eduardo Risso deliver great panel after great panel. Fantastic work! The Moloch story was actually my favorite and tied together with Watchmen the best. Nite Owl was very good. The Dr. Manhattan story made my head hurt as most meta-physical stories do. Overall, it was a good book but the Manhattan story drug on and on bringing down the score.
