Spare but nonetheless moving, Lee's collection of poems draw on his background as the child of immigrant parents, his curiosity about the past, the conflict between a desire to assilimlate and a struggle against it.

This is poetry that will stay in your mind long after you're done reading it. The imagery is so strong it makes you shiver. A must for aficionados of contemporary poetry. Highly recommended for everyone-even those who don't usually read poetry.
