This is an acute book of poetry, conjured from the heart and mind of a prisoner behind the wall. The poems within this book touch basis on topics such as: love, hate, betrayal, forgiveness, religion, regrets, culture and of course incarceration. As I'm sure you've heard; some of the deepest, unequivocal writings surface from within a prison cell, so there's absolutely no doubt in my mind of your indeed being moved by what you discover upon these pages.
I've made it a duty to put my all into my work in order to assure my readers are granted vivid retrospective images to assure that they may feel whatever I may've been feeling at that particular point in my life. Most people don't understand or care to acknowledge the mental and emotional struggle prisoners are faced with on a daily, just being confined to a box away from our culture, friends and loved ones. It's rather easy to lose your way, becoming bitter in such a lonely, selfish and ruthless environment. Doing time is not as simple as one looking from the outside in might assume. However, it's not all bad either ... I guess it all depends on what type goals you have and what type company you surround yourself with ... but with no further ado, I invite you into my circumference to read about my experiences and changes I was faced with while "Behind These Walls."
