Following twenty years in corporate America, in 2008 Sarah and her husband gave up their jobs to relocate from California to Puerto Rico to be self- sustaining organic farmers. Within a year, it was evident one of them needed to return to work. Dreading the notion of commuting and the o ce politics so common in the corporate world, Sarah opted to live out her life-long dream of becoming a writer. A week after hanging her "Writer for hire" sign out, Sarah landed multiple jobs. Within three months, she had to hire more writers.

Six years later Sarah is the CEO of a content marketing agency. In December 2015 Sarah founded Coquí Press, a publishing company whose mission is to give a voice to those whose views run counter to the mainstream or whose voices have been silenced because of race, gender and/or sexual orientation. In May 2016 she co-launched Multiracial Media, a platform of artistic expression for those in the multiracial community.
