About the Author

Phoebe Chi, MD, MPH is an internal medicine and public health physician whose humanitarian efforts have spanned from the regions of Central America to that of sub-Saharan Africa. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received her medical training, public health, and global health degrees from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She currently serves as the Director of Clinical Education at Legacy Heart Care of Texas for which she developed a comprehensive chronic disease management program aimed at improving the quality of life and well-being of those living with heart and related chronic conditions. When she is not working or volunteering locally and abroad, Phoebe can be found writing for, a health and poetry website.
