3 Stars From Sammy's Book Obsession! TITLE~ Being Jolene (Tell Me #2) AUTHOR~ Caitlin Kerry MY THOUGHTS~ I was provided with a Review Copy/ARC for review. I read Being Jolene not having read the first book in the series, Finding June. Although, I don't think it's absolutely necessary to read in order. Either way though, I'm not a huge fan. Don't get me wrong, there are good points and not-so-good points to the story. It seemed to take me a while to read because it really just didn't hold my attention and was really slow going in the beginning. I liked the alpha-ish, outdoorsy, family, rugged man thing that Ty had going on. It was difficult for me to continuously view him that way though, because some of the things that Jolene said in reference to him, weren't always consistent. Jolene was not my type of heroine at all. She seemed like a confused, conflicted, internally whiney, sluttish type chick to me. Just not my cup of tea. It wasn't poorly written or anything, just not totally up to my normal standards, I guess.
