About the Author
Richard G. Malloy, S.J., is vice president for university ministry and mission at the University of Scranton. He has also served as assistant professor of anthropology and sociology at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, as a priest in the inner city of Camden, on a Native American reservation in South Dakota, and among Catholics in Alaska, Kentucky, New Mexico, and Chile. His articles and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, YouTube (talks), The Philadelphia Inquirer, America, U.S. Catholic, and Catholic Star Hearald for which he won a Catholic Press Association Award. His Orbis book A Faith That Frees (3,000 sold) won second place in the category "Popular Presentation of the Faith" from the Catholic Press Association.
