Who could ever think up a plot like this? The scope is grand. The details are rich, especially with the Santa Fe setting. But the characters surpass it all. Cosmic good and evil collide in Prince Bellamy from Hell sent on special assignment to destroy the faith of Psychologist Mackenzie Maguire, a woman whose self help books are doing enough good on Earth to evoke the devil's rage. And who would ever think this could be both humorous and charged with suspense? Christian fiction at its finest, indeed. And the ending actually made me cry. Especially if you're a fan of C.S. Lewis, where theology is intertwined with an excellent story, don't miss this book!
This is a can't-put-it-down novel that had enough evil to grip me and enough good to keep the stakes high. The characters came alive as though I actually knew them. Prince Bellamy. Hacker. Princess Lascivia. Dr. Mackenzie Maguire. Tony Vargas. I chuckled on most pages and felt surprised throughout. The ending I never saw coming. This book works on a hundred levels!
