This story had everything you could want in it action, shapeshifting, love and during a great time period. I couldn't put this book down. Hardane's spirit always came to her in dreams but it becomes a mystery when the woman he thought was his betroved isn't so how is it that she can receive his dreams and not be the one is black magic beyond it?

I normally read historical Indian romance, but this one got my interest and kept it. I actually suggested to my husband to read it. The book draws you into it and I could not put it down until I was finished, I just had to get to the end and find out what happened.

Now this is what love is all about! I was spell bound my Ms. Baker's story of two destined soulmates who overcomb forces trying to keep them apart. There's a little genre in this story for all fans: legends, myth, magic, adventure, history, and romance. There was so much beauty in this story that it still remains in my Top Ten list. Her writing is like poetry, her plot is terrific, and her characters are as real and as genuine as they could possibly be. If there were more stars, I would have given it a higher rating.
