Beneath The Lipstick Layer continues from where my first book of poetry "When I Think of You - and Other Poems" left off. It deals with love, loss, pain, beauty, children and death. One of the poems "All The Same" won a gold medal. Several other poems have appeared in different poetry anthologies.

About the Author
Born and raised in Montreal I graduated from Kelvin High School in Winnipeg. I studied English literature at McGill earning a BA with First class Honours. I studied English at the University of Toronto on an university fellowship and Writing at UBC on a Quebec Graduate Fellowship. I received an entrance scholarship to the Faculty of Law at UBC. At the University of Southern California where I received a MFA and Ph.D in film production I earned several awards including a Phi Beta Kappa Scholarship in film production, the Ed Moses Award for my novel "A Hunchback Love", a fellowship from the USC school of International Scholars and the Jack Nicholson Award, the senior writing prize of the School of Cinema and Television for "The Black Watch". My Ph.D. dissertation was the second longest in USC history. The title is "A Study of the English Canadian Feature Film Industry from 1977-1981". Two of my 27 feature screenplays have been made into feature films and one was made as a mini-series. I am a full time writer in Vancouver. I have worked as a journalist, university teacher, film executive, farmer and tile setter (inter alia).
