Probably my favorite of the series!!! Loved the banter between the characters. Love a good damsel in distress and a hot alpha swooping in to save the day! Had a hard time not giggling every time they called Bishop, "Bish" but I digress... You'll want to clear your schedule because it's hard to put this book down! Great book!

Can't put into words how amazing Meghan March is. Never have to worry about one of her books being a disappointment she always comes through leaving you wanting more. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Sweet and Sassy !! I loved being back in Nola and to be with the "Beneath Crew" was a bonus . Bishop and Eden have both been introduced before but we get to know them so much better this go round. I loved this setting for the both of them because when I think of Nola this is the atmosphere I picture. I really loved both of these characters equally but couldn't help but to notice how ALPHA Bishop is and I love it !! All around Grand Slam for "Beneath These Shadows" !! 5 Cupcake Stars !

Who doesn't love a tatted up, bearded, man bun sporting giant with a soft spot for a damsel in distress? Meghan March’s writing is outstanding as she transports you in the heart of New Orleans. You are put right in the middle of secrets, seduction and the allure of the French Quarter. Eden is a casualty of circumstance. She wants to break free from rules and experience life on her own. She is brave, independent and secretive. When she runs into Bishop, sparks fly and undeniable chemistry ignite. Bishop is pure alpha male with his commanding ways. With an innate need to protect that even surprises him, these two are pulled towards one another. In true Meghan March fashion this book has it all. She has a way with words that burn up the pages so you better read fast! The audio narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York is an absolute must! Their portrayal of Bishop and Eden was the perfect choice. No one can deliver the way these two can. Their chemistry is off the charts as they give a stellar performance.

## Couldn't finish because this has got to be the dumbest woman on the planet. TSTL. Omg, she is utterly ridiculous. Stumbling, bumbling, stammering and can't do ANTHING for herself. I'm embarrassed for her character. Why would you write a woman so incapable of basic functions? I'm at page 100 and just can't stand it anymore. I have LOVED this series. Con, Lord, Lucas....all awesome alphas with capable, interesting heroines. But this heroine? Bleh....I will try to pick this book up again tomorrow and see if I can finish.

I don't usually read books out of order, but seeing as each is standalone I don't mind because I want to go devour the rest now. This was my first Meghan March book and I cant believe I've put off reading this series for so long. Bishop is everything I love in an tattooed beard man-banned alpha, he was all caveman protectiveness over Eden without being too over-bearing. Eden is in New Orleans on her fathers orders, but when she turns up she forgets its Mardi Gras meaning it's exploring this new adventure is bound to be fun, but has some dangerous aspects - in steps tattoo artist Bishop the protective alpha. He is drawn to Eden with the need to save and protect. I loved the interaction between the two,Eden lets her mouth run away before she thinks but she also wants freedom to show everyone she can take care of herself, whereas Bishop wanted to be the one to show Eden around so he could look after her, but in the best possible way. The book has everything I love including what I believe to be previous characters of the series that I cannot wait to meet. March knows how to write alpha romance well and this one didn't lack drama or suspense. What a great read.

Holy mother of Alphas! This book was in one word, enthralling. I didn't want to put it down but when I did all I thought about was Eden and Bishop. I have to say, every single time I read a book about New Orleans I want to hop in my car and drive there. I love the way authors capture the wonder of the city. This book really was no exception to that, all of the sight seeing and adventures Eden went on really brought to life the amazing city it is. Eden started out as a pampered, sheltered, sort of naive Mob Princess who was stuck in a life that was holding her back, literally, until the day she was called in to get out of town, this is when she found herself in New Orleans without a plan. Bishop is a true Alpha hero that saves Eden time and time again, throw in the fact that he's on the run himself and you have a match made in secrecy heaven. I can honestly say that I wish I lived in New Orleans and knew all of the main and supporting characters because they all play a very large part in this book. They seemed like they would be an awesome crew to hang out with as well. Meghan, this was my first book I've read by you but you better believe I will be grabbing up all of the beneath series and I am very excited for everyone to get a chance to read this book! Great job!

I really loved this book. The storyline was awesome, the chemistry was fantastic and loved seeing some recurring characters from her other books. I'm from Louisiana, so reading this brought back so many memories, and she was spot on with the descriptions of New Orleans. Meghan March just keeps bringing it!

Who wouldnt want to be Bishops cupcake? Hot, tatted up alpha male (who has a man bun). Where Eden is a girl who has been sheltered all her life. When having to go to New Orleans to lay low, she really built her confidence. I love their passion and his need to product her. It makes my heart melt!

A girl looking to spread her wings? Check! A dirty talking, tattooed alpha who wants to protect her? Double check! When you are the sheltered daughter of a mob boss and are sent away for your protection, where do you go? To Meghan March's New Orleans to find yourself and maybe love along the way, of course! Meghan ventures back to NOLA to bring one of the best plotted books of the year.

Beneath These Shadows is a standalone in a series and book 6 do not let this stop you if you have not read the others. Bishop is a alpha male like know other it does not hurt that he's rocking a man bun. Bishop has been running from his past and would never let anyone get close because he did not see a future. In walks Eden she has been keep in hiding her whole life never allowed to go out on her own. On a chance she's able to take a trip to New Orleans where she can start living life for herself. When two worlds collide will live come out on top.

I have enjoyed every book in Meghan’s Beneath Series and this was no exception. This book (like the rest of the series) is set in NOLA. I have never been there myself, but her writing of this area makes me feel like I have been. Eden is a woman looking to explore a new city. She has been sheltered most of her life and as a result is naïve and careless. Enter Bishop. A local tattoo artist that is as big and tatted up as they come. He finds her needing help in the big city, but he doesn’t do help. At least until now. He finds himself being drawn to her and becomes her very own knight in shining armor….minus the armor and add lots of tattoos and a man bun. After she continually pushes him away, will he be there when it matters most? Truth be told, I found myself getting angry a few times at Eden’s stupidity. Despite that, Meghan did good job of taking you through the growth of both of these characters individually and as a couple. Not to mention its always fun getting to “visit” with characters from previous books. This book is a stand-alone, so you can read it without having read the other books. Although, I’d venture to guess you will go back to read this series from the beginning.

Meghan March writes books that draw you into the story and never lets you go. You not only fall in love with the fall in love with NOLA too. In Beneath These Shadows the reader gets (in my opinion) her most ALPHA hero she has written. Bishop is bossy and broody and oh so hot! A life long bachelor the NEVER goes back for seconds is turned upside down by sweet innocent Eden. All his protective instincts kick in as soon as he sets eyes on her. He knows she has secrets but once he finds out the truth can he handle it?? This series just gets better and better!!!

This is the sixth book int he Beneath series but can definitely be read alone which I love. I quickly fell in love with these characters and wanted more and more of them as the story went on and boy did we get more of them! Meghan March sure does know how to give her readers a good story with an Alpha male and a heroine that is fun loving! When we meet Eden, she is being told by her father to get out of town because of something that he has done. He doesn't want what he has done to ruin Eden so he sends her from New York to New Orleans and tells her to lay low. Eden is always looking over her shoulder and feels like she is being watched. It takes awhile for Eden to actually get out and realize that she needs to enjoy some of the sights where she is, but she has landed in New Orleans in the middle of Mardi Gras and things are not always on the safe side when Mardi Gras is in town. Bishop is the guy all the girls in town drool over, but he never gives any of them the time of day. Bishop is a tattoo artist with a bun that sort of keeps to himself. When Bishop and Eden meet, you can immediately feel the chemistry come off the pages! Eden is not out for a relationship though and is just worried about getting around without anyone finding out who she is and where she is from. As things heat up between Bishop and Eden, Bishop is always there for Eden to be her rescuer. Bishop quickly becomes protective of Eden which is a change for the local people to see this side of Bishop. They are not used to him having feelings or even showing emotion toward anyone. As we are taken on a journey with Bishop and Eden, Meghan March leaves you feeling like you know these two inside and out and that you don't want their story to end. You should really read this one for yourself to find out just how swoon worthy Bishop is!! I can't wait for what Meghan March brings us next!!

I love Meghan March's alpha men, Bishop can now be added into that category. He does not disappoint!! The storyline was engaging and sometimes suspenseful. The chemistry is hot!! A great book!

This is only my 2nd read of Meghan's, but after this hot read, I will be diving into the rest of this series and any others she has!! Eden, such a naive and innocent girl. She wants to make it in the world without any help, to prove she can, but it just does not seem to be what life has in mind for her. Bishop, strong, intense, sexy as sin itself, and not the guy you look to for a long term relationship!!! These two characters are so entertaining and sexy, I found myself needing to step away grab some water to cool myself off, and then dive right back in of course!! Erotic and full of intriguing storyline. 5* for sure!!!

Meghan March knows how to write hot, sultry and emotional, and this story has it all!! Seeing these two characters, one who has been sheltered and unable to truly live, and the other who has forced themselves into *mostly* solitude, and watching them find their way to each other is amazing. Getting little peeks at our other Beneath friends is also wonderful. Definitely can be read as a stand alone, but I suggest following each story and seeing where the couples came from and found each other.

The wonderful thing about reading a book from the Beneath Series is the feeling of coming home, I've never been to NOLA but the author makes me feel like I've lived there for years. Bishop and Eden's story is a standalone but it was nice visiting old friends. Eden (secret daughter of a mob boss) has been sent into hiding she is suppose to be laying low but decides to have an adventure. Bishop is hiding too never staying in one place for long but as fate would have it both are in NOLA at the same time. Fate also steps in everytime Eden is in trouble and needs help putting Bishop there to protect her. Their love story is meant to be so many twists of fate. The author has put me right in the middle of this well written story with these amazing characters. This is another must read five star book.

I am so in love with this book. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It is so completely addicting. I read it in one sitting. Beneath These Shadows is the sixth book in the Beneath series and my new favorite. I seriously love this book. I want to read it again. Meghan March very quickly became one of my favorite authors. Every time I read a new book by Ms. March, I’m more and more impressed. The way she writes, the characters she creates, the settings she describes sucks you in and wraps you up in a world you don’t ever want to leave. In Beneath These Shadows, Eden is the secret illegitimate daughter of one of New York’s most notorious crime bosses. She lead a sheltered life and could only dream of flying free on her own. When the opportunity arises she goes to New Orleans with the orders to lay low. Her first night in NOLA, she finds herself in trouble and Bishop comes to her rescue. Bishop…*sigh*… the sexy tattoo artist at Voodoo Ink, likes to keep to himself and does not like to get involve. Still dealing with a tragic past, he’s never wanted to get close to anyone… until Eden shows up. There is something about her. He can’t help himself. Every time she is in need, he’s there, much to his and her chagrin. Driven by her need to prove herself and his past, they attempt to fight their attraction. However, their chemistry is too strong and too smoking hot (like have to fans yourself hot) to stay away. MY GOODNESS!!! I love Bishop so much. Hands down my favorite Meghan March hero. That sexy, broody, bearded, tatted, man-bunned, alpha is perfection. I’ll never have my fill of him. The way he cares for Eden, even when he doesn’t want to, has my heart swooning. I have heart eyes for him. Despite not liking the idea of sharing Bishop, I highly recommend reading Beneath These Shadows. You won’t regret it. And, even though it’s part of the Beneath series and has connections with Meghan’s Dirty books, it is a standalone and you do not have to read the others to read this one… but I would because they’re incredible ;)

***Waves hand*** Yes I want to get dirty NOLA!!! Beneath These Shadows is the sixth book in the Beneath series BUT CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE. How can you not love Bishop, the sexy, tatted up, and grumpy hero? Then you have the very naive Eden who has never experienced life on her own. I just love their story and it's full of surprising twists I didn't even see coming. This is a definite MUST read!

I listened to this on my way home from Book Bonanza, this was another author I got to meet, I'll be sure to share that picture below as well. When I first started playing it, I was a bit confused, because the main character was in New York. Since this series always takes place in New Orleans, it was a bit confusing. And I guess we did need some outside blood, there comes a point when you can't just keep hooking up all the characters you already know. Bishop was someone that I remembered a bit from earlier stories, and I'm pretty sure that Jason Momoa is who he is supposed to be reminiscent of. I hate man-buns, but on Jason Momoa? Eden was so sheltered from how she'd had to live as the daughter of a big Mafia boss to stay safe. Now, when she got sent away for her own safety when things were going on with her dad, I did get a bit of an off sense in how it was all done. But what turned out to be the traitor in the whole organization was definitely a twist I didn't see coming, at least not in the way that it did. I love how Eden jumped right in to what she assumed might be her only chance to live on her own and experience things that her father would never have let her if she'd been back home. And I also am pleased with how the author had Eden technically figure out how to save herself. A wonderful sweet story. Lots of drama and edge of your seat excitement at times. And while this is definitely a standalone, I loved getting all our other characters from the earlier books pulled into the story. While I kinda want an alpha male for myself, I know that I'm not at all the type they look for.

Least favorite of the series and I have read all up to and including this book. Still have to read Hennessy's story. I have gotten through most of the book and have invested my time so I will continue. I find myself rolling my eyes at her dialogue (yes I know she is young) and his dialogue comes across as cheesy sometimes too. I LOVED these stories the most (one even had a twist at the end)- Lachlan Mount, Rix, Simon, Lord, Con. Great series, but this book is a dud for me (insert sad face here)!
