Brother Bear was falling behind on his homework. His parents found a letter in his backpack from his teacher explaining everything. When they wen to find Brother, he was watching tv, listening to the radio, and talking on the phone. Papa said no more fun until homework was caught up. Brother was upset and after talking to his grandparents, found out his dad had been just like him. When he got home the man from the BRS was leaving. Papa had not done his taxes. Brother and Papa did their work together and both learned a lesson. This is a good book to read to students on lessons about responsibility. It also deals with family issues that many kids face. It is a short, funny book that teaches a valuable lesson. I would read this book to second grade or above.
