This book is really great. I needed to learn how to read music to join my high school concert band and this taught me so much! I play bass guitar and I have been playing for a few years. I could read tab but never attempted to read music. This book really takes you from the basics to pretty detailed stuff which was great. Also i really enjoyed it because after joining the band, if i had any questions it was a great reference. I would totally recommend this book to anyone that needs to learn how to read music, it really helped me out!

I am a vocalist and music major and this book inspired me to continue to study theory on my own time. It was laid out in a way that i could get the knowledge and practice i needed to be able to hear and write my compositions better.
