MAXIM HAKUBOWSKI is a crime critic for the Guardian, a novelist, and the literary director of Crime Scene, a festival held annually at London’s National Film Theatre. A regular broadcaster on radio and TV, Maxim runs one of the largest crime bookstores worldwide, which is situated in London.

I ordered this book in advance of the publishing date because I had read a positive review about it. I was dissapointed to find that not only were they not mystery stories, they were tediously depressing short stories and so vulgar that there should have been a warning label on the book.
