This book has opened up many opportunities to talk about what is going on in our family, as well as my son's feelings and anxieties. He's even initiated some role plays based on the book. My son really relates to Stanley and, at first reading, was so upset that Stanley pulled the stars off his kite he couldn't go on with the book. Once assured there was a happy ending we read it--over and over and over. The illustrations are great-- Highly recommended for this age group!!
