3.5 Stars Okay so I saw the title, cover, and synopsis for the book and was so excited about it. I mean right in the synopsis it tells us that Julia plans a surprise party for Liam only for them to break up with a bit of a shocker thrown in there. So, with the title being what it is I expected something HUGE to happen. Like Julia was going to really show Liam what it was like. I came away feeling very underwhelmed about the "revenge" theme. The saving grace in this book was all the other characters. I absolutely loved her roommate, Ava, who was so grounded and loyal to her, Giff who was Liam's best friend but remained a friend to Julia after the break and of course, and Jesse, Julia's boss's son who comes to live with them. This was just a fun, light read for me and went by very quickly. There was nothing deep or soul changing about it. We are not going to learn any important lessons as the title would lead us to believe. I guess we all need reads like this, but I prefer something more. I did learn about rummy gummy bears though and plan on trying to make them very soon. I will try to get Crystal to post a picture of them when I do. I will also make sure I don't write any reviews that night as I am not sure they would be coherent. I did like Tawdra's writing style and will definitely read more of her work in the future. I will not however continue reading this series. It just wasn't for me personally. Perhaps if I had saved it for a nice beach read, I would have enjoyed it more. So in summary, if you are looking for a lighthearted HEA, that is a quick fun read, then this book is for you. Reviewed by Mystery for Crystal’s Many Reviewers *Copy provided for honest review*

Liam, Julia’s boyfriend (now ex) was a jackass. After he pulled a particularly dick move and broke up with her in front of their – on the night she planned a surprise party for him – she decides to get even. With the help of friends Giff and Ava, she plots to make Liam jealous, win him back and break his heart. Additionally, a school project leads her to create a blog where girls can tell their equally hideous boy betrayal stories. Her plan for revenge moves along beautifully until Jesse comes along and makes her question why she’s even bothering. I liked Julia. She wasn’t a doormat. She was a strong and determined girl, someone I would be friends with in real life. Ava and Giff were both interesting characters, but I wish we had learned more about them. Jesse, on the other hand, I adored. I couldn’t get enough of him. He was a perfectly sweet and sexy love interest for Julia. A much better fit than Liam. In this short and sweet book, Julia eventually comes to realize revenge isn’t always the answer. She learns a lot about life, love and friendships in her journey. I enjoyed every minute of it. What wasn’t to like? This book gave me a strong heroine, a seriously swoony love interest, little angst and an interesting, if a bit predictable, storyline. I can’t ask for much more than that. And after that epilogue, I can’t wait to get my hands on Just Desserts. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I love new adult romances, but even though the characters were in their 20s, this felt geared to a young adult audience.

Who hasn't been done wrong by THAT guy. Jules thought age had it all with Liam. The in paper perfect boyfriend. But life and paper don't always agree and after Liam does a supremely d**kish thing, revenge seems like the only answer. Along the way hang on for a wild ride, a kick butt BFF, and maybe even true love. A fun, quick, witty read.

This is a fantastic book for readers who love the New Adult. This is the first book I’ve read in the genre and I think the author did a wonderful job. It’s well-written and well-developed, and I developed a certain fondness for the hero’s facial features. The heroine is an odd mixture of down to earth and mature with a spiteful streak. The combination made for an interesting story line, and throughout the story the hero opens her eyes to what’s really important.    My favorite part of this book was not the revenge element but the love story that developed between Jules and Jesse. I liked how he impressed her by behaving like a gentleman and treating her nice and complimenting her. I think a lot of women can relate to that.  Also Desmond, the child she cares for a few days a week. He added a certain heartwarming quality to the book that made the story more real for me.  I appreciated the fact that she had a job and it certainly made the romance more interesting because the hero is her boss’ son. Loved it!

I'm sure at one time or another we've all thought about revenge on someone that wronged us. That person doesn't always have to be a mate. Is it really worth it in the long run? I'm not sure. This story is about Julia and her desire for revenge against her ex-boyfriend Liam. Liam broke up with her in a horrible and very public way. I loved reading about how Julia dealt with the humiliation and dealt with her anger in a way that was best for her. Tawdra Kandle is an amazing author. She has the talent to really make you feel part of the story and feel everything the characters are going through.  I always read any book from her very quickly. I just can't seem to put it down. At the end of the book she says that there is a new one coming out that will be Ava's story. Ava is Juila's roommate. I can't wait to read that one as well. I give this book a 5 out of 5.

Best Served Cold is a story about a girl named Julia who has learned the hard truth about men. Well she thinks she has at least. Her boyfriend of ten months while in college absolutely humiliates her in front of everyone they know in order to end their relationship "cleanly." In his twisted mind, the only way for them to split up without her crying and begging and being uber clingy was to show up at his "surprise" birthday party drunk and all over another girl. When I read that, all I could think of was "what an a**" and if I had been Julia, I would have hit him. She keeps her cool though, leaving the party feeling more numb than anything. What would any normal person dream of doing after being put in a situation like that? Of course, revenge is top on the list. She sets out to a rather crude plan to humiliate Liam, the ex, but learns a lot along the way. I am not going to tell you all of it because you should just read it to find out. Let's just say that Julia learns a lot about men in general. She learns that not everything is as it seems to the naked eye. She also learns that sometimes your friends need you more than you need them. It's a fantastic story that I could sympathize with the entire time. I have had some rough patches with an ex who left me pretty damaged for a while. Unfortunately, learning that the only way to get over that situation is to move on and forget them is not a lesson easily learned. It's also one that you can only learn for yourself. When you are going through those things and people tell you to move on, it feels like a failure almost. The truth in the words only are evident when you finally accept them. Tawdra Kandle shows this in the story very well. I hope that others who read it and feel like the world is ending for them, can understand the truth in this story.

A book about revenge and how far you would go to get back at someone. I really liked this. Julia has been dumped. But not just dumped, she is humiliated in public. Payback seems like the best way to get over it so she hatches a plan with the help of her friends. Then she meets someone new. She has to decide what is important and what isn't. It's actually a very fun read. There are some fun characters. I am looking forward to roommate Ava's story.
